My dad found a few tubs of tapes on craigslist, so I decided to digitize and upload them to youtube. Enjoy!

А Останкино ?
Men at work. It was a long time ago.
What a great pod cast. Takes me back to my youth growing up in Chicago (Hometown) Great job, Chuck. John Beland former guitarist for Ricky Nelson Pebble Beach, Ca
I typically climb 350 feet towers regularly for maintenance and that alone is already very tall when at the top. I cannot even IMAGINE being over 1,000 feet in the air like that
Thank you so much for posting these programs. I listen to them off and on and always enjoy them. Beautiful, by the way, Oscar Levant's playing "Clair de Lune," at about 8:30.
Rare footage! Witnessing the addition to the West Antenna Tower on the Sears Building in Chicago from June 4th, 2000, offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's architectural history. It's amazing to see the progress and changes over the years.
No wonder Engineers get paid so much!!!.....no wonder gilrs who do Engineering are so beautiful!!!....rigid bubbly personalities like their guys!!!
The only short film to win two Oscars: Best Documentary Short Film Best Live Action Short Film After that, rules were changed to make sure it didn't happen again. Beautiful camerawork in this movie.
That was mind blowing and really uncomfortable yet exciting to watch at the same time. Phew!
Just remembering how I used to listen to Those Were the Days with Chuck Shaden❤ in the 70's- I was in highschool and really enjoyed my Saturday afternoons spent listening. I either sat with mom at the kitchen table and listened to our radio or in my bedroom on my transistor radio or digital clock-radio. ❤ So many good memories, and for some reason, even though it wasn't ty my favorite, I remember Chuck talking about Cinnamon Bear - around Christmas. ❤📻
Yep this is it! in 1978 I was really into old-time radio shows and I can’t remember if it was once a week or more often, but I had my ear glued to my transistor radio or my mom‘s radio in the kitchen listening to Chuck Sheen on WDCB and Illinois and he would spend hours playing all-time radio shows. I just got out of college and I’ll never forget ihow enthralled with old time radio. I think it was every Saturday or Sunday❤ohchuck, it's so good to hear you again. God bless you and thank you!❤
Hard just got soft. feeww nelly
ого ! вот как это было тогда . Спасибо очень интересное видео
We saw your installation at RISD. Mind blowing (haha)
QUÉ HUEVOS DE ESTOS HOMBRES .. MI ADMIRACIÓN Y RESPETO...
I see no women on that job.
It’s really easy, with a crew of 50 guys monitoring you, part of a ballet of rehearsed assembly steps. Now consider the lone field service Tech replacing a strobe light with 1 guy spotting you?… that’s alone, that’s tough. Or being, my case Northern Ontario after an ice storm! spending more time whacking off 2” inch thick ice than performing an actual fix …towers bow in the wind, ice pack crack under the load… Riggers get paid good wages for the month’s Hell Freeze’s Over…..
Hey thanks for the upload. Do You have an idea where I can find the sheet music of the musical?
Respectto they Pilot and allá workers
😮wow what a job to do a 1000 feet in the air God keep them safe OK AMEN 12+30+2023😮😮
ESPETACULAR,INCRÍVEL,MARAVILHOSO 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
These iron workers are breed of there own , just another day for them, but the pilot to me is the most important key to this, this is how it's made to look easy when you have a complete top notch crew
Hell yeah, Sky Crane baby!
*Those guys are better than Spiderman.🙏*
*Excellent videos*
I’m a lineman I’ve climbed 65ft poles before but this is incredible and insane mad respect 🫡
Guts.
Yea right. Lol
This recording is not from 1976 it sounds much much earlier
These are wonderful. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I bought a vintage style radio just to listen to old shows like this. So much better than current entertainment on offer. :) Again, thank you! <3
This is a treasure
I never remember 2000 looking this old.
How many feminists does it take to erect a transmitter? None.
Amazing how these guys have the guts to work on top of tower !
un real how high they can take these antenas the guy on the platform must be the craziest to do that
They must to be a different breed
surprised they dont just send em up with parachutes on their backs. Sure they have 2 or 3 fall arrest systems in place but just for that added piece of mind, here's a parachute too..
**Gets all the way to the top** ... "Oh fuck I forgot to punch in for the day.."
There,s not Enough money in this world to pay me to do that work nerves of steel , People in studios getting mega money for sitting on their AZZZ and talking trash , What Brave Workers installing the Antenna , Thanks Guys .
God bless them. Balls of steel.
Amazing video!! Wow
Craziest video on UA-cam! You guys that work on this stuff, hats off to you. Balls of steel!
oh that homer always getting it
Those are some brave men I take my head off to them. They deserve every dollar they get in quadruple more.
It seems to me that at one point the component is attached to both the structure and the helicopter at the same time. Therefore, the helicopter is actually attached to the building. I'm guessing that it's really important to get the component firmly attached to the building so that the helicopter can be cut loose as soon as possible.
My legs turn to spaghetti about 25 feet off the ground. These guys are amazing, and we owe them respect for all the incredible things they build.
I hope you're joking. That was clearly a boat.
@@isaacparadis7951 Official UA-cam fact checker debunks airplane theory. News at 11.
Just watching this kind of thing makes my testicles hurt (seriously).
Thank you for sharing these audio gems. I LOVE Those Were the Days, which is still on the air weekly, since 1970.
