Do not use the slotted screws and the higher piston for oil pressure, use a screw with a square, the original VW piston and the original spring. The 1600 single port cylinder heads are better for a single carburetor Daily, you won't have extra power with dual port configuration. 1.25 tippers can help. you should not use a Pict 28 from a 1200 on a 1600, and obviously not on a double port, you need a pict 34. unless you have 1200 cylinder heads with 32/30 valves and pict 28 instead of 35/32. The valves will have to be broken in and maybe the seats will have to be resized and new guides will have to be installed.

AH-5200xxx is correct for a 1600 engine of '73, the original cylinders are 85.5, the 87.0 are 1641 cc. The volume of the chambers will have to be measured precisely.

Incredible video, thanks for posting. Our gen 3 is starting to do the pressure noise every 13 seconds and I know we are due for a replacement. Toyota recommends replacing both the booster and the ABS module however what are the chances that both of them are failing at the same time? I may replace one at a time to see if it fixes the problem which may provide a more cost effective solution. Would it be more likely the Booster or the ABS do you think that fails first?

It'll just cost you time, lots of rust remover, and rust converter. If it's straight it's worth keeping. I've gone up some crazy steep hills with bald tires in a 1957 bug. It was the first stick shift I ever drove.

It looks like the 3G Prius splits the booster and pumps, where the 2G have them as one unit. Last time I checked (last year) the "booster" for my 06 was over $1K. My 06 is parked, waiting for time (and weather) to allow swapping the booster from a spare 06. I do NOT look forward to it, even with TIS on multiple laptops. Basically because I'll essentially be doing TWO jobs in the swap (though the bad one doesn't have to work for the parts car, just seal off the brake lines). It SUCKS that Toyota had a recall on these that timed out for older cars. This is ABSOLUTELY a safety issue, there never should have been a sunset date on it.
