@JenM420 well you know what, she does suckle on mama but there is no milk. So she just knows she has 2 mom's for now. She'll need the bottle for about 6 months

@@JenM420 I am so happy they stayed bonded. It's hard for Momma to not be able to fully provide she moos and cries about it every day when i feed caramel, and she loves having her little angel with her. It makes me happy to see them

@HANZELVANDERLAAY thank you Hanzel, I am a human mother. My kids are 17 and 21 now. I sunk into a mental black hole last year and landed in Kansas, away from my kids. I have a lot of guilt about this that I can't figure out how to work through and make it out of, back to feeling normal and functional. I am grateful to here, taking care of babies on this farm for now where i am surviving, even though it's not at all what I thought I was trying to get to. I don't understand anything anymore, to tell you the truth. But I am getting up every day and continuing to walk this walk until maybe I will feel OK again. It turns out I can do so many things. Nearly anything I give a try to. But I can't figure out how to be societally functional anymore.

My kids think I'm great, for the most part. They are wonderful and amazing. I am just about 1500 miles from them at this time

@JenM420 she is making it a nightly routine now! She loves her baby but knows she can't feed her and keep her alive. She always moos at me and I tell her I am taking good care of her baby. She knows it and she is thanking me

I really think she thinks that! And mom looked at her and said "what? I had a baby deer?"

One of these days I'll catch it on camera! It was funny how she knocked me over when I said I have to wrestle her down for the feeds

@tulipssunflowers9704 she isn't nursing, back in the barn a had another bottle. But they were happy to see each h other and we will probably take walks out to see momma most good weather days. It's been interesting and sweet to see baby Carmel come back to life and thrive from her pitiful state I first found her in! She is such a beautiful light tan color! She will be the 2nd beauty in the heard. I have another video of Beauty Brownie,the most gorgeous one. Supermodel with her smokey eyeliner look!

@samuelbell1902 she is doing so good, I posted a few updates.. on the other hand, I am feeling like an exhausted mother of an infant.... apparently I am, according to our darling little Caramel. She has already named me Moma, since the first day. Gary said that since her Mom didn't eat the placenta, it was clear she had already decided it was a no-go with this one so Caramel was destined for me to find her just in time on that ice bed where I found her

@JenM420 lol! Well i had her covered in sheets and emergency blanket to warm her up, for a while, then I was using the sheet to get her on her feet, it was helping me hold and support her better. It worked, she is on her feet and wobbling around on her own now

@JenM420 she needs to and needs to start nursing. She was set to freeze to death without moving like that. It's a good thing I came out when I did, if I had waited a couple more hours befor coming out I might have found her frozen solid instead!

@JenM420 I know! I was shocked about the icicles too, and how in the world they don't freeze. They look so adorable though, no matter what! Sweet cows...

And he is loving it.❤

In this one Antonette looks like she really likes them.. but then she licked her lips like. "Mm food" lol.

Slowly getting them acclimated, my Spicy boy wanted to bite it's head but we gently learned to be nice.. and so he just got sleepy. Marie Antionette also has to really fight her urges when the Huntress beckons. She is such a good girl. Many hours alone and not a single incident. They will soon be big enough that they won't have this danger but everyone will be one big loving family by then anyways ❤🎉

Awww... and yet she also has a look of contentment on her face.😊

@JenM420 we have Sugar'n'Spice, he can be Spicy Boy or Suga, for short. The orange and cream one. The long hair is the only girl and she is Foxy Lady, and the pure orange is Rusty. I have not named the chick's yet!
