when I add the texture to the mesh it just stays a white block, only when I switch to particle 3d does it change , any suggestions to fix it?
Make sure to provide the Albedo texture property on the foliage definition 🙂 If needed, feel free to join my discord server (link in the bio), I could help you there!

The foliage system has changed quite a bit since this video, I'd suggest you to check my last one about it 🙂 The way it works now is to provide albedo images, albedo color, or custom shader Let me know if it works!

Could you make multiplayer?
Anything is possible, but since I can't release the game (I don't want to have problems with nintendo), making it multiplayer is not worth it 🙂
Sound balancing needs work-especially with the footsteps. The shell didn't have the sound effects when skiing. Entering the worlds should have some sound effects to better immerse the world. Bob-omb running was too loud compared to the silent steam that they usually exude when running.

you made a very good joob with this tool! congratulations!! i have a question: is there a way to place scenes like houses (scenes that not are objects to be scattered or multimeshes, they are individual things) in a way the map loads them when a terrain chunk loads? i found a way to know in wich chunk we are (camera) and that would help to load by my self scenes belonging to that chunk, but i would like to know if there is a built in way to do it, Thanks in advance!
I answered on twitter but I'll answer it here as well 🙂 The thing with your question is that "chunks" are not really loaded dynamically. It's a clipmap, so the terrain is sent to the shader all the time, but when it goes too far from the center, there are just no polygon being displayed. So there is no way really to identify if "chunks" are being displayed since they are not really chunks. One thing I could do, is to add an event when I move the clipmap, which occures only when the camera moves a certain distance. Would that help? For the floating point, I've done nothing special for this, so I guess it could be problem if you have a too large terrain. Let me know, I hope this helps! :)

any chance you can find a bit of time to do a video showing how to add water and trees ( maybe small items or buildings and trees in the scatter group) to the brushes for use in terra gen ? the videos you did are great but i havnt figured out how to add a water shader yet. also the texture painting swatches are small and a tool tip or a hover over zoom in would help. i have accidentally painted wrong texture because they seem to small to differentiate. Loving this tool by the way, and im only making ground and hills and paths so far :)

@@spimortdev it took a bit to get back to this sorry. i did watch that and played around a bit since you replied to me, however i just cant seem to make good river or ocean using your water tool. i must be doing it completely wrong. i would love a short how to on setting up the different types of ware bodies. i.e lake, ocean , and creek or river. i'm sure it would be useful for a lot of people trying to use your awesome toolset.

This is a neat demonstration. Reminds me of a game I made in Game Maker years ago that took about 30 minutes to complete. It wasn't very complicated or even very good, but it had its own assets and a functioning system, so I'm proud of it.
