    I am a new carver and the mystery of proper stropping has been a challenge. This is a great tutorial and has cleared up my confusion and giving me a direction on how to take care of my carving tools. Great job. Thanks so much.

    Hi, I have a question about the gouges and the v tools you use.I see tools are Swiss made. I also have them but I find they are a bit long and that makes them not so comfortable as flex cut. But I think they cut and work better than Flex cut. I'm not really sure but I noticed that you've made yours shorter. Is that right or I'm wrong? Tell me more about this, please.

    • @alaskawoodchuck785
      @alaskawoodchuck785 2 роки тому

      No, these are as they came. Truth is I prefer both. The brand isn’t how I think about it. There are gouges I like more by flexcut and some I prefer by swiss made. That said I agreethat flexcuts are more comfortable but pfiel metal its better so the edges last longer.

      Thanks. This time the sole purpose will be regarding the local club which was the original intention of Alaska Woodchuck in the first place. Because of that I will be taking my time to do it right and redoing just about every previous video aside from product reviews. This time will have access to four professional shop set up and be able to produce much higher quality videos.
