I made a couple last year out of pallet wood and they are awesome looking. Leave them raw… No finish, no Paint 👍🏼

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and I agree… This is the time of year to build some really neat stuff. Most of the seasonal builds are also very DIY friendly and easy to build

I think it’s a good idea but if I’m being completely honest with you, I’m still learning my way around Etsy as well. I don’t have enough items listed and I’m still learning SCO. Down the road, I will absolutely share what I have learned

I learned something new every day… What do you guys use to build wooden fence fences? Pine?

We get them in Ireland so I can't understand how you don't have them in the UK.

@NuKraftWorkshop most of our fences are built out of featheredge boards or larchlap. I've been looking for cedar pickets at my local lumber yards, and most just sell featheredge

@bluecurlygirl I'll have to look again then but whenever I've asked at my lumber yards they just try and sell me featheredge

I had one prior to buying this… Probably the same one you have. I’ve got this new one mounted to my workbench and it is so nice to have it readily available and mounted the way it is

They sell it at Home Depot. It’s called rigid foam insulation and it’s down by all of the building materials

That's nice to hear and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment!! The trees are nice and you can scale them up or down. Just make sure you take equal lengths off every cut so they still fit together!!

Finishing is so important and there are a ton of different ways to get a quality finish. I thin paint to give a different look but I've never thinned stain, Might look into it and see if there's a benefit . Thanks for the comment and the support 🤟🏼

@@NuKraftWorkshopdo you think push on water based polyurethane? I am always left with brush strokes in that and paint.

@FuzzyLiger sorry to hear that. Occasionally I will with paint but never with poly. Use the best brush you can afford. Brush on and leave it alone. Over brushing will streak

Usually wood filler when I'm going to stain and spackle or caulk is enough if I'm painting. Just make sure you sand those spots again after it dries

I'll try to add metric lengths on the next episode when I pop up the cut list. As far as the video, I'll keep talking in Imperial since that's what I use. Deal?

I have 2 options here in Houston and the staff at both locations is wonderful. That's awesome info and thanks for sharing. We were in Ft Worth last weekend and we absolutely love it up there. It has become our quick weekend getaway place.
