I too am studying the harmonic analysis of this piece by Chopin and I have some difficulty deciphering the chords of bar 20 and 21 (which are similar). even if you wrote the Roman numeral I on the score, I didn't quite understand your interpretation. thank you
@@alessiomangiacasale2661 It was a mistake that I corrected on another website, but not here, I'm sorry about that. The correct one should be (V/vi-i64/vi-v-VI42/vi-V/vi) for each of the two measures. With a constant dominant pedal(A#) on the relative minor(D#/Eb), the upper voices goes like (Cx+E# ~ D#+F# ~ C#+E# ~ B+D# ~ A#+Cx), or, (572-51b3-5b72-5b61(b3)-557(2)). through this voice leading, Chopin inserted a minor v chord as a passing chord, while making the phrase more chromatic, also smoothing the voice leading in the middle voices, or there would be an augmented 2nd appearing if you directly jump from 7(Cx) to b6(B). You may find similar progressions in BWV 875, and Chopin's 2nd and 3rd Ballade.
