+30 years BMW guy. Now I changed to Mazda. It's what Beemer was in it's glory days. Now all BMW's are so ugly, not interest anymore. Oh, I still got Z3 for summer drives.

Bro I'm a 20 year-old and I think all new BMW's are disgustingly ugly. Except the G20 3-series which somehow still isn't ruined. In fact it's usually people around 40-50 Y/o that say their new designs are "modern and unique"

ok yeah, they are the longest production runs, but they changed across multiple generations, the longest producing car in a single generation (slight changes) is the UAZ 452 being produced SINCE 1965

Why does EVERY car nerd care only about performance? They see an ugly car, and if its a manual, they go, "wOw ThIs cAr iS aMAzINg!!!". They dont cate about cosmetics. And old cars DO NOT look great! They all have the worst colors and color combinations. Metallic purple, neon green, how is that pleasing to the eye? A car nerd cares about aesthetics, and what the majority of the people are what is called a "specs nerd". Nobody needs to hear, "Oh, the Panoz Abruzzi is the best car because it has a blah blah blah and it sounds AMAZING!" If you think that 1950s cars are better, you might as well be a boomer.

The original Bangle designs were ugly, still are. The LCI designs of the same era made a big difference. Look how aged and ugly the E90 looks, even in M guise. But non M LCI E90 still looks good. E60 was much better in both. I loved V10, as soon as I saw it. The new BMWs are fugly, unreliable, hard to work on and expensive. If you're buying a new BMW, you should have yourself tested.

For a long time BMW designs have been a bit more challenging at first. Even before Bangle butt 7, E39 wasn't as good looking for many as an E34. When E60/E61 came, many considered it ugly with dame Edna glasses. All those things are usually considered good looking now. The designs might be challenging at first, but they stay relevant and good looking for long. I've been saying from the day one i saw those ugly ass nostrils on new ones, that they will one day look good, or at least not fugly. And it's started to happen in my eyes.

Okay, the dimmer switch NEVER had all of those functions. It's been the same function since its inception, switching the vehicle's headlamps between high beam and low beam. Nothing else. I hope he's just trying to be funny and not completely off his rocker.

I really like people who try to make videos about things they really know little about. None of these things were "banned". You can find more and more accurate info with a Google search than he provides here. The floor mounted dimmer switch was phased out starting in the late 1960s or early 1970s with the control generally being moved to the turn signal stalk. In the early days of cars with 6 volt systems, the headlights were a large current draw item. It took a large switch and wire to handle the current and one would want a short run of wire to minimize voltage drop and cost. By the 1970s, cars started using relays to handle the high current so smaller wiring and light duty switches inside the car would work well.
