Great show gents - agree with John regarding the ITV pundit and analysis team. I often use the mute button to avoid the voice of Mick Fitzgerald or alternatively flee to watching racing through bookmaker websites to protect the wellbeing of my ears.

Re the Plumpton cancellation I was monitoring the weather in order to try and estimate the likely going for betting purposes. Must admit I was surprised that it was decribed as 'soft' with 'standing water' when it passed. I wondered where that standing water might head off to 🤔. Admittedly they had more rain later but might it not have been better to knock the inspection back as people may have set off after the first inspection? It's a shame for racegoers and trainers, etc.

Brilliant podcast as usual. Inside info is hard to find as you need to get on as you say before it's given out to all the scroungers otherwise the value has gone and it's become kind of worthless. They get on at 5/1 and the rest get on at 11/10 but info will ALWAYS beat the form book cos if the horse is not off you ain't winning shit no matter how well handicapped the form buffs think it is. The big question is why on earth Potters Charm is running on Boxing Day, and Regent's Stroll (in the same ownership) is running in the Challow. Regent's Stroll is the quicker of the two and didn't need to go up in trip. It looks like Nicholls has puffed his ample chest out again, and forgotten that whatever happens in the Challow, he then sends the horse to the Festival, and it gets stuffed. You might have thought by now he would have tried something different, but it appears he prefers the idea of failing over and over again. Shame, as I think most people would like to see both horses running over a distance that suits them best.

Lads I make a decent living on the flat in the summer but despise the all weather and jumps hardly ever bet in the winter is there anything I should maybe study up on
