Essentra Components is a global market leader in plastic injection moulded, vinyl dip moulded and metal components. We have a history of over 65 years, producing essential components across a huge range of industries and applications.
Making it easier for our customers is our top priority. That's why we operate internationally in 29 countries across 4 continents. With every order, we offer a hassle-free experience through our 14 manufacturing facilities, 34 distribution centres and 40 sales and service locations.
Our product range features caps and plugs, cable management, flange protection, knobs, handles and grips, access hardware, PCB and electronics hardware.
If you’re designing a prototype, we can help make it a reality, with free samples and CADs of our standard parts. For your bespoke projects, we can create and manufacture solutions built for your needs, including prototyping and 3D printing.

Are there any studies on the fumes produced and their effects on health. Should injection machines be fitted with air extraction.
Hi Craig. All of our mould shops have extraction fans in the ceilings and are extremely well ventilated. The majority of our polymers don’t give off excessive fumes unless we have processed them at the incorrect temperatures so the training and guidance we give is key to all our staff, this is why we train all our technicians to an industry recognised level. All of our materials are safety data sheet checked and the technical data sheets analysed on a regular basis, all guidance is followed. In the case of some of our engineered grades on some sites we have installed machine specific extraction as a extra measure if we were to see degradation issues in the materials thus causing excessive fumes.
