It helps to sharpen the chain.😂
😂yes, some are shipped sharp. Not the case with this one.

I just picked one of these up a couple weeks ago for almost free, in exchange for a review. Listed price was $129 at the time. I hadn't quite gotten around to assembling, testing, or reviewing it yet and the Amazon listing is already gone and can't find any other listings for Gthan. I'm wondering if I got one of the last ones they will offer. Now I'm just trying to decide if it's worth keeping or if I should just resell as new in box. Thank you for the review it seems to do good. Also, thanks for testing that kickback brake for me, lol. Do you have any updates on how it's been doing? I already have a pretty good running, lightly used Poulan 3600 Timbermaster circa 1992 with a rebuilt fuel system that is actually 60cc (3.7cui). One of them is going to have to go I think, trying to decide which one.
Still going strong! Make sure you keep the chain sharp and I’ve continued to be impressed for the price. I’ve probably got 20+ hours on it. Strange they’re off Amazon, I see a few are still out on eBay. Let me know if you have any other question.
Glad it works well! Bought one too. What kind of oil goes in the oil tank? It says pure engine oil but I would think since the fuel tank needs the gas+oil mix that this oil tank would be for bar and chain oil.
That’s what I do. Synthetic 2 strike oil and then whatever I’m using for bar and chain oil. Usually old engine oil I’ve saved. Enjoy!
What oil do you use for gas mixtures?
Standard 2 stroke mix. If you have the $$ go synthetic and I usually run ethanol free fuel, if you can find it. It’s all over NC.
Can’t hear what you are saying because the sound of the chainsaw
Will do better next time. Still learning!
That white oak is stringy
Not a very good view of splitting wood
That’s fair-check out some of my other videos!
👍👍👍
I'm building one for my riding lawn mower and tools. But I'm stuck on the framing the door way. I've built the door but can't figure how to get attach the frame first. Any tips
Just measure in from the bottom on whatever is square. Build the door to suit and you’ll be decent enough 👍👍
Need some more background noise, I could still make out a little of what you were saying !
😂 thanks for watching!
I run a few of these saws some the earlier ones have problems with oil pumps not in all a a good saw I think you could do with a bit more edge on your chain just my thoughts
Yes it was oddly dull for brand new here. Much sharper now & still going strong! Thanks for watching!
When you cover your firewood you only want the top covered not side you need the air to get through
You’re right, I picked up a few greenhouse plastic remnants for dirt cheap. Very easy to find a thin strip perfect for covering firewood. Thanks for the tip though!
A lot of these knock off chain saws, are not as big of motors as they claim to be, we measure the bore and stroke on one saw, claiming to be a 62 cc, are math show it to be a 42 cc
I’m not surprised-still can’t beat it for the price.
You can also get a nice side chain tensioner as well. Search for 25.4cc chainsaw tensioner with minor mods it will fit this saw.
Good call, will check it out now!
It's most likely 54.5cc actually. I think I know where to get the 62cc cylinder but we will see what arrives.
Can’t beat the price either way!💪💪
You are 100% correct. More like a 3hp.
One thing I do is not worry about how long my rounds are. Now I don’t sell wood, basically it’s for my own use or I give it away to people who are having trouble with heat in the winter. So I cut through knots, through crotches first and then worry about length after. If my rounds are uneven or my stacks don’t look perfect, I don’t care, because it makes it easier to split by hand. Cut through a knot and putting the knot down definitely makes it easier to split.
Good point-you can always chainsaw it down again once it’s split. Thanks for watching!
Iiiiii iiiiii keep it sharp easygoing on the horsepower. Remember STAND and BUCKIN . and SAW in the WOOD 🪵 😊
Right on-thanks for watching!
Price ?
$1,500 USD, give or take at a farm store. Although you can typically find them used for about half on marketplace or other private sale sites.
Looks like the chain could use some sharpening
Can always be sharper! Check out some of my more recent videos to see a sharper chain. Thanks for watching!

I haven’t the slightest clue what you mean but thanks for watching!
i love the wedge. i have a Craftsman splitter and it has a dull wedge, rounded almost. I might get my grinder out and see if i can sharpen it a little. that splitter looks a lot like the Tractor Supply County Line splitters. I'm not fond of the design. while they work well, the debris gets in the wedge track, as seen in the end of the video and sometimes is a PITA to get out. Thanks for sharing.
Good idea-shouldn’t be too bad to sharpen up. I think you can pop the whole unit out with a screw and a pin. I usually blow the unit off and take a long screw driver down the sides to clean out debris after using. Annoying design but hasn’t impeded performance for me yet. Thanks for watching!

So fun watching those chickens walking around.
They sure keep busy-thanks for watching!
Hey! .......we wanted to see the chickens
Thanks for watching-they do make for some fun content. If you have any tips on how to make chickens more comfortable around a chainsaw please send them my way!🐓🐔
Wow! I'm impressed with how well you have trained the chickens to help. :)

are you happy with this chainsaw , I have been looking for a cheap chainsaw to cut a tree that is down & it measures about 2 feet across . & there is so many on Amazon with mixed reviews , & all of these 62 cc engines , seem to be actually 58 cc from what the people said after they checked the engines out . the tree I want to cut up into cookies is over 50 feet long , so I'm wondering how many chains I may need also
Thanks for watching- I’m very happy with it. I also had the Wemars that’s on Amazon for a similar price and that burned up fairly quickly. This one is still going strong despite some heavy abuse. Keep the chain sharp and the oil:gas mixture true and you should be good. I’m still on my first chain after about 8 hours of steady use, but typically sharpen it before I use it everytime. I do have a spare I got cheap on Amazon just in case.
thanks for the fast response , I'm kind of torn between the Wemars, Pinkyway & the Garwinner 62cc @@SundownFarms2024
@@markp1512for the price you can’t go wrong with any of them. I can’t recommend the wemars as that got the same treatment as the GTHAN and died in about an hour.
Thanks for that info , I think I'm going to stay away from the Wemars @@SundownFarms2024
Knotty sweet gum or elm
Thanks for watching-I’ll try to find some and upload a similar video soon!

Put some wheels on it to move it about. Pretty good job. With the storms and crazy wind we have here in the South, it wouldn't last long before it would be torn up.
Great feedback! This is going on 1 year old in the hills of NC. Trick is to get the poly nice and tight.
@@SundownFarms2024 We made one in the past and the high winds ripped it to shreds. So we ended up purchasing a coop and 6 mths later built our own Hen House and large enclosure. We can't let ours free range because of all the Hawks, Eagles, Owls, Opossums and Osprey here.
@@debbiependleton8507the hawks can be a problem. I found a dog in the yard is the best deterrent. Never had an issue with osprey, many in the area but they prefer fish. I plan to upload another video of my DIY coop and run soon. Please keep an eye out-thanks for watching!
I love my Fiskars products. The x27 is a beast. Usually when I start to get tired I switch to stacking with the pickaroo
Good idea-I’d be stacking pretty frequently!
@@SundownFarms2024 it’s the best workout a man can get. Love every second of it. I have a terrible back and my pickaroo allows me to keep working with firewood. I have a video using it on my channel. I’m thinking about getting the smaller one for when I’m using the splitter.
@@South601I couldn’t agree with you more. I never worked with a pickaroo but prefer to do things the easy way. Will check out your video, thanks for the recommendation!
