The secret to effective dice shooting.
The secret if there is one to dice setting and dice influence is to fully understand, I mean really know how the dice react to your grip and toss. Not to mention the table surface you are playing on. This can change day to day, minute to minute etc. It is a physical skill that can fall prey to negative physical influence. Concentration is the most important part. Putting the mind in charge of the physical aspect. Let the feel of the cubes in your hand and fingers translate to a mental image of them aligned with the table surface and backwall, landing just right and bouncing softly off those diamonds to land together and stop in perfect correlation to each other. That is the skill, the objective, and your purpose as a control shooter.

Controlled Toss, Or Is It. Aggressive Betting.

One aspect of developing a controlled toss is opening a hand aggressively and getting a few big wins and then regressing to table minimum. I don't suggest this approach without a healthy bankroll to support the buy in.

Rhythm Rolling. DI OG Style. July 8, 2024

The origins of DI can be traced back to shooters “getting into a rhythm” at the craps table. Pre-positioning the dice and tossing with confidence and consistency. The result was minimizing the devil and maximizing box hits.

Great idea. I will definitely try this
Let me know how it goes
Thanks for the good look at your grip from SR. I like to throw from SL just cuz it feels better as a righty. Maybe I try from left side at some point.
Hey Paul. That grip is described in detail in the Mad Professor book. I like it from the SR positions as a right hander. It’s a bit tricky in the casino as the stick person can get in the way.
Nice table. Ever tried doing a crapsee table?
Thanks for stopping by. I checked Crapsee out a while back but too many moving parts for me. Appreciate the idea. All the best.

@@1yamawai1 dude was on fire. 🔥
Enjoyed this video. You said "its real, but not guaranteed" I understand sometimes, the dice setter will have bad throws, and thus not guaranteed. My opinion is if it was a skill that can be achieved, it would have a measurable edge for the dice setter. The random mathematical average roll lasts 8.5 rolls. So lets say you have mastered the skill to have an average of 11 rolls. I don't know what the mathematical advantage over the house would be for that, maybe someone like wizard of odds could figure that out. I bring up money a lot, because casinos make large amounts with games holding only a 1% edge. As do professional card counters, poker players, etc. So if the dice setter actually had an edge with an 11 roll average, he would easily be able to become a professional. As to your comment, why the F would i care about if dice setting works or not....I personally don't care. I never criticize anyone for trying it. I root for all players, whether random or controlled to have a great roll. After many years and however many thousands of hours in casinos watching players with a controlled manner, and repetitive mechanics shoot no better than random players, is why i continue to be skeptical...But people ask me all the time, if it is real or not. I just provide my opinion, and would say most measurable and anecdotal facts point towards it not working. If you believe, certainly doesn't effect me any. Again, im rooting for the dice setter, influencer, controller!
Hey. I guess I get why you’re thinking a 1% edge would enable a craps player to go pro. But no one player can be open for business the way the house can. Be that as it may I am currently putting out short videos on random tossing and control tossing. I invite you to watch them and let me know what you think. All the best and thanks for coming by and your input. Always welcome. MM
@@mudslidemac9613 well before auto shufflers, there were professional blackjack players who did well with just a very small edge over casino. The bets just have to be bigger. If a craps player had enough confidence, he would be table maxing with his edge. I’ve seen some of your random toss videos. Nice experiment.
@ColorUp dude I’ve been hitting casinos for about 50 years now. I’m aware of card counting. But I don’t think anyone should attempt to make gambling a profession. No matter the game or the skill. Unless you’re writing books or doing TV spots or running training, seminars or even UA-cam 😉. I’m a recreational craps player that has managed to stay ahead of the curve using presets and controlled mechanics. If I lived in Vegas I’d be supplementing my retirement playing the game. I don’t consider myself a gambler rather an advantage player.
Great video, I have said it before those who believe, believe and those who don't Probably will never. Im with you what does it hurt to try to do it.
Thanks for the input sir. DI is a touchy subject for sure. I think people are naturally skeptical about it. I was until I started trying it for myself. Oh well All the best.
Dice Mass Matters. Use Heavier Dice at Home. Weigh them all.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I believe I am understanding the dice weight concept. I have noticed over the years that heavier cubes react differently on my practice rig. I wonder if in the current casino environment dice differ in weight other than the small variance in weight between the 3:4 and 775 sizes. What do you think 🤔

I love your thumbnail showing 'Metatron's Altar' in full Glory. 💯
Thank you. I think I grabbed it from a casino supply website.
MM: Plotting the DI Mass Threshold by plotting the x, y, z variance is in fact evidence for DI as Inertia. Work=m*Lambda^2. Some relationships carry on. It's a law of Physics.
Wow that’s awesome. I think I get the drift of what you’re describing. Could you break it down into basic terms.
@@mudslidemac9613 If you can keep them On Axis, meaning if they are Heavy enough, you can use a Cheat Code a certain Bookie, Dice Maker, and Modern Craps Layout Designer named John H. Winn built into the game. There's a backdoor! When your line bets + edge your total action, use DI, Random otherwise. Winn would use Heavy dice for himself, and light dice for everyone else. However, he wasn't likely alone and someone designed a functional 'Lodge' or Fraternity into the Craps layout. Brethren! This works because causality is exponential + or -, and increasing exponential + variance w/ DI while keeping - edge variance low w/ random tosses is the new paradigm for winning Caps. It has been hidden in the Craps Layout since 1907. All it took was some 11th Grade Math. I'd like to thank my 11th Grade Math Teacher Mr. Dubois. 'Thanks for teaching me well, sending me to the NYIT lecture on Group Theory, and writing such a great recommendation for me. I got into Ivy. I found a Lost Mystery in my favorite Gambling Game.
@@mudslidemac9613 Use DI when your line bet's + edge covers your action, otherwise use Random. Just use Dice Heavy enough to be at or above your DI Mass Threshold. It's just Inertia vs Elasticity. A simple Physics Lab Experiment. I'm making my own 'Dice Conjuror's Set' of 'Novelty Dice' in 100 mg mass steps.
Only the Worthy may Pass. Only the Worthy Don't Pass. Only the Penitent (the shooter) may Pass. You need to demonstrate proficiency in + edge DI/- edge Random, line betting. Use the line bet edge to provide an overall + edge. Then use DI. Otherwise not. I, Time Lord 777 have spoken. 😎
Interesting. I have been thinking on this comment and am wondering if you could explain further? Thanks
Use an On Axis Hardways set w/ a 'Raised Yuri, 1/4 wave release into the Backwall directly. Use the heaviest dice you have so you can keep them On Axis easily and work on your SRR for real.
I'm 1 st Trustee and Ed is Second of Metatron's Altar. Applications are open and Ed gets to decide your 'worth'.
Fascinating comments and suggestions. I’m curious about your experience with the skill of setting dice and controlled mechanics to launch the cubes. I know Ed but I don’t think you have ever commented before on any of my craps videos over the years. I welcome your opinion and thoughts about the game. Thanks for watching. All the best.
@@mudslidemac9613 Over 30 years as a DI AP player. I discovered the 'Hardways Butterfly' for Passline bets for instance. I have found the Proof that DI is real not too long ago. I simply weighed my dice, and I sorted them into 8.7. 8.8, 8.9, and 9.0 grams groups. As I went from 8.7 to 9.0 grams, my DI x, y, z Variance went from zero to here. It's Inertia vs Elasticity and Work vs Entropy. I've even developed a DI Thermodynamic model. Just so you know, there's a cheat code built into the layout. That's what the whole 'Lodge' thing is about. I discovered a Mystery in the Craps Layout. Heavy dice are key.
Wow. My first thought is in the modern game aren’t all casino dice the same weight. On the other hand I have some old dice from extinct casinos that in fact are heavier than what I believe casinos are using today. And they for sure behave differently when tossing them in a controlled manner. I have been a student of presetting and control tossing for the last 10 years and a craps player going back to 1975 or so. Very interested in learning more about your experience and insight. Thanks again for stopping by.

You changed sets several times it looked like. Do you suggest doing that in actual game play? Or is it better to stick with the same set?
Not to sound rude or anything. But, no not until you have the courage and conviction in your heart and skill that you as the shooter can adjust sets and grip and not mess up your rhythm of the hand.
I thought a hard 4 was a “little Joe”
My resources and experience indicate any 4 tossed can be called by the stick as little Joe. Really appreciate the comment. All the best.

Hi Sarge, how are ya doing. Getting ready for some memorial day grilling/BBQ? If you do I hope its a good one. I am getting pumped up for some juicy burgers with all the fix-ens. Anyway, back to craps. I used to exclusivity use this betting approach before I started getting into dice setting. Only difference is I would use a odds progression vs. sticking with 2x odds on each bet. I saw a golden touch video a week or so ago and good old Dom was explaining how a dice controller with an SSR over 7 "should" take advantage of their DI advantage by only betting low house edge bets "aka" come bets with two times odds, because when using one set certain numbers will repeat and the skilled shooter should take advantage of that. All the best brother. Keep it frosty.
