Welcome to my latest video! Today, I’m excited to share the stories and meanings behind three deeply personal paintings I'm working on. Each painting is a reflection of my experiences and emotions, capturing moments of struggle, transformation, and grace.
Painting 1: Dance with Freedom
A dancer with eagle wings reaches towards butterflies, symbolizing transformation and hope, while dark ropes of mental struggles try to hold her back. This painting was inspired by my journey through a difficult pregnancy, isolation in a new country, and the onset of COVID-19. Painting saved my mental health, giving me the freedom to rise above my thoughts.
Painting 2: Forever a Part of Me
This piece features the back of a woman holding her hair, with proteas casting shadows on her back. It symbolizes how our past experiences shape us and how we can choose to let these shadows either burden us or transform us. The protea, a symbol of strength and resilience, reflects the power of overcoming life's challenges.
Painting 3: Covered in Grace
A woman is protectively covered by the wing of a snowy owl, inspired by a dream where I felt the profound grace and protection of Jesus. This painting embodies the beauty and innocence of the owl and the transformative realization of Jesus' sacrifice.
