TSB Promo: Hatchet Creek Railroad V3
In the coalfields of south central PA there is a narrow gauge line like few others, surviving off the last ditch efforts of a dying industry, the Hatchet Creek Railroad rounds its way through Appalachian ridges to move fuel for the nation. Created by Swirly Trainz & Allegheny.

TSB Promo: Hatchet Creek Railroad V2
There's a lot of narrow gauge freelances and routes in the Trainz community, but surprisingly Hatchet Creek is the first I'm aware of to make Ben's narrow gauge 4-8-4 the primary power. That thing has been sitting in the back catalogue collecting dust for like 15-20 years just waiting for somebody to make it a home. Somehow it looks right at home on EBT-inspired rails.
Very Nice video, You guys make some of the best content!
"Narrow gauge northerns" Never thought I'd hear that in a sentence, I know this is fictional and what not, but a Narrow guage northern is wild to think about.
I love how much lore was put into this
Fantastic piece of filmography! Love the story as well! Thanks for having me along with the last leg of the Ride! <3
Heck yeah, love a good murderous flying penguin backstory aha. Nice work!
That was great! Terrific animation, information, and voiceover.
Love Mr. Danny Harmon best narrator ever and his channel is great as I live in Florida too.. He also just retired from fox 13 Tampa I think it's Fox 13 anyways great video...
The fact that y'all were able to get a legend like Danny for voice work on this is incredible. Well done work!
Pure fire ❤️🔥
Absolutely worth the wait, amazing work!
Wonderful work as always!
I love this route! I do have the hcrr v2 but I will for sure download this route, it looks just great!
Thumbs up for Danny Harmon narration.
TSB New Route Just Dropped Before GTA 6!
when will Hatchet Creek V3 route be coming out?
1:35 Where did you get that SOU Radio Boxcar?
Judging by some of the vehicles some of these shots were from the "1950s".
Pennsylvania still holds the Record in the United States for the STEEPEST railroad Grade on "Mauch Chunk Switchback Railroad" line to this day at a staggering 15% grade unlike Saluda's 4.7% grade. Yes, understood "Mauch Chunk" was a Gravity Cable powered line but was still considered a RAILROAD!. Pennsylvania Railroad Famous achievements are always overlooked even to this day, I should know because I worked for the former LV Lehigh Valley Railroad at its end of existing and nobody ever to this day brings up anything that they have accomplished in railroading history as it's always about UP or CSX blah-blah-blahaaa is what I hear when someone talks that. Great video, Hope to check it out soon
Does it work in T;ANE?
No
While I can’t advise cruising on this route, I can certainly recommend downloading it. For such a small railroad, it’s a ton of fun!
Sugar Foot Rag never gets old, nice jobs boys
Hey the Switchback can you put the other Trainz Routes back on the website.
Where would I get the engines hoppers and I saw from another comment passenger is private atm no big deal but this route looks cool I’d ask any chance you’d make a ebt route ik someone made engines that would look great but are private so likely he’d never let you get them he has a UA-cam channel also clicked on the link for the engines dosent work
T:ANE compatible for V1?
Great video. Whats the song used?
I check and the song he using is Bobby Rydell & Chubby Checker Swingin' Together 1962
Nice
Just downloaded it.Great detailed map. I'm trying to run operations but I'm confused since there is no interchange for the logs and Reefers so where do they get shipped too? I assume some of the Freight depots laying around for the meat but where would the logs be sent too? I dont really see anywhere the logs would be loaded on and off to
Will you make the KCS Pittsburg Sub?
Wonderful route and song choice great work guys keep up the great work!
Where can I find the dependencies for the F7?
Is that a high hood
First thing I noticed was no graffiti on the cars.
I might need to redownload trainz just for this
where did you get that rolling stock?
Railfanning 9 to 5 is sure a way to make a living and I would love it
Way too fast for Saluda😅
This has to be the best freeware for trainz!! I just watched a documentary level film with real life footage from the cab!!!! Amazing!!
I simply must know what this song is called. It sounds really good.
Super Bell Hill - 8BitBigBand
5:09 I smell a private Southern 4-6-0! 😂
Was not meant to be, but private it became :(
😔
@@theswitchbacktrainz Are you planning to release it in the future though?
May I ask... Where did you get those Silver Southern Coal cars, as well as the Radio car....I've been looking for them on internet and cannot seem to find them. Thanks
beautiful Southern train :)
I downloaded this route and loved it however, when i placed a train in the roundhouse and try to get it on the main track it would just keep derailing, I tried deleting and replacing it but that wasn't the problem, any tips on how to fix this?
Lovin this route 😎
Aren't the tracks like the actual tracks in Eastern Washington, like where they go to
is there a tane version?
No, this is for Trainz 2022 only unfortunately.
You can't use it on Trainz 19? I have 22 but was wondering if it would work in 19 or are the file structures different?
Amazing detail I love the lift bridge If you don't mind me asking, is the 2-8-0 a kitbash or was it released?
Conny is a kitbash from Allegheny
@@theswitchbacktrainz Any way that it could be released?
That's Impressive! When is it coming to the actual site?
Already out. It’s under the wildwood tab on our routes page
@@theswitchbacktrainz OH! I Didn't even see that!
@@theswitchbacktrainz It's unusable. There's so many tracks that it crashed Trainz.
@@thebluesquare900 Could you provide a bit more detail?
@@theswitchbacktrainz There's a bunch of invisible tracks and when I zoom out, it gets so much that it causes the initial client to close itself.
