It's a nice movie, but there was no chemistry between Rourke and Basinger. Both beautiful, but c'mon, this movie could have been much better with some other model. Like Wild Orchid with Carrie Otis was a better movie, because there was real chemistry. Though 9 1/2 has stronger screenwriting, Basinger suffering throughout the movie becomes too much. It seemed all the time she wants to run off to some women rights meeting and eventually she did. Can't imagine they enjoyed working together.
