michael had no reason to go this hard on a animated kids movie about superheroes, but instead we got one of the best animated movie soundtracks of all time

listening to him talk about recording this "The Old Fashioned Way" is kinda funny to me as a modern day electronic producer, because that's the same way I'd record an orchestra anyways. all together as a unit with each section mic'd individually. it's also funny that he says when big band orchestra stuff had been recorded in that era for films there was always techno and electronic elements added in and the very next year he did exactly that for Space Mountain
