Your answer to the overdrive problem was in that diesel dually. That manual should be a 5 speed nv4500 with overdrive

The only drawback to having your dashboard lights bright is that they reduce your distance vision in the dark

Ok on them factory was two temperature sensors one on driver side head kinda by spark plugs ok if I remember right that’s the one for temp gage And other temperature sensor on intake manifold by thermostat 3 wire plug that goes to ecm brain box tells it more gas when cold when warms up tell TBI less gas needed

As rims paint color I would suggest same color as lower part of truck or one tone lighter (pale sand) or in typical American fashion full chrome.

Someone said that they would put vinegar in the radiator and let it run for a heat cycle and then flush it out. They said it works better than commercial radiator flush

I have a old copper rad in my truck. It's heavy as heck. It measured 34x19 and if a recall like 2.5 thick. Not sure if it's 3 core or 4 core. But it's a monster of a rad.

I always get group 31 batteries for any vehicle I can get them to fit in. Group 31 battery's give you some more capacity and just all around faster better cranking

If your wanting to learn how to build transmissions, a very helpful tip I wish I had when I first started, I wish someone would have told me back then that there are "ATSG manuals" which are some of the most helpful manuals on building a transmission, just save yourself tons of headaches by searching "ATSG 700R4" and get yourself one, you'll thank me later😊💙 🤘👍 one other tip for taps, be careful and always make sure your not grabbing an "NPT" tap for a normal bolt hole, they will line up with some standard thread bolts to where it looks like the right thread when you put them together like you showed with the bolt and tap ontop of each other to match them up😊 but thats a really quick and easy way to find the right tap for sure👍

She is a beauty, old trucks rock. The V8 engine is the perfect engine for a pickup, not a turbo 4 cylinder without any torque. Now lets not forget diesel engines have their place in the pickups, it is all about which fuel is right for your application. Thanks for a great video, keep them coming!!

A good way to upgrade your electrical system is to do a big 3 on the engine. That'll take care of a lot of electrical problems

Never had much issue getting parts for my internationals. Always heard that but normally most parts where instock in the store or I could get the special parts from the aftermarket IH stores online. International has a reputation of being rusty, it’s a shock to find one in good condition these days.
