Overnight 4WD Journey Into The Black and White Deserts of Egypt
While staying in Cairo, my ear caught wind of an overnight expedition into the Black Desert and The White desert of Egypt. This journey began with a long car ride to escape the chaotic city and embrace the endless sands. Once we reached an oasis, we jumped into a 4WD and ventured of the road to our first stop, The Black Desert. Here we hiked up a small hill to get a spectacular view of our surroundings. We visited some water springs, went sand boarding and watched the sunset before spending the night in the magical White desert. Truely this place felt like another world. What an incredible experience.

Exploring the Depths: First-Time Caving Adventure at Jenolan Caves's Plughole

Another weekend camping trip and this time, we ventured to Jenolan caves and camped at the Boyd river campground. After exploring the area and checking out the nearby trail leading to a gorgeous view of the valley, we made our way to the caves where we would embark on the Plughole caving adventure. This is a guided caving tour offered at Jenolan caves and is geared towards beginners. This was o...
Diving the Under Water Trail at Gordon's Bay Sydney

Gordon's Bay Under Water Trail is a pleasant dive in Sydney perfect for beginners. The trail follows a chain in a loop around the bay offering plenty of potential marine life sightings. Most notable on our dive was a very friendly blue groper who kept coming back to check us out.
Diving Fish Rock Cave at South West Rocks with near perfect conditions. 50+ Sharks!

This dive at Fish Rock Cave has been my favourite so far. Every aspect of this dive is an incredible experience and we were very lucky with the conditions. 20M visibility and 50 grey nurse sharks congregated. From the dark entry into the cave, the narrow ascent up the chimney, the air bubble, and the mesmerising light beaming through the exit silhouetting countless grey nurse sharks, this dive ...
Hiking in Montenegro Durmitor National Park to The Ice Cave!

I took an Autumn hike through Durmitor National park of Montenegro into the mountains to visit the ice cave. Leaving from my accomodation in Zablejak, I followed a route that I found on All Trails. Just as I was leaving the town, a friendly stray dog approached me and followed me all the way from town into the Mountains. The hike is beautiful, especially in Autumn as all the leaves were beginni...

We did the Valbona to Theth hike leaving from Shkoder to the Koman ferry and then staying in Valbona for one night before hiking to Theth and staying two nights there. From Theth we also did the day hike to the Blue Eye which is a beautiful water hole named for its mesmerising blue colour. As autu...
GJIROKASTER! A Magical Stone Village in Albania

Gjirokaster is a medieval looking village in southern Albania. The first sight we saw was the Ali Pasha bridge which is an old stone bridge about 30 minutes walk from the town centre. The bridge looks as though it could be straight out of a fantasy world located at the base of a rocky valley in the wilderness. We also visited the castle which is a must see while in Gjirokaster. The castle is fi...

We got the train from Bucharest to Busteni. Busteni is a small town so there is no need to seek transport to the trail head as long as you don't mind spending a bit of extra time walking along the road. We started walking right from our guest house in Busteni.

I'm hiking on Durmitor this weekend! great video to get to know the trail a little bit beforehand. One funny thing, back in Mexico we have alot of strays in the mountains, we say that they are the souls of people that sadly passed away there now they take care/guard the hikers on the trails. We say that if a dog follows you on the trail, you will be safe and its seen as lucky

Thanks for the comment! Can't say I have too much experience hiking in colder climates. I would say if you plan on staying at the ski lodge as opposed to the hut near the lake, book in advance as I'd imagine the lodge would get a bit busier during ski season. Enjoy your trip!

I did this trip from Shkoder about a month ago. Valbone to Theth hike. I stayed at Guest House Zadeja in Shkoder approx £20 per night. They will also store your main bag for €2 a night while you do the trek. They arranged pick up from their lodgings for the bus and ferry and then bus to Valbone which cost €25, you pay the bus driver. I stayed at Bujtina Selimaj in Valbone £22 including breakfast either to eat at the lodging or they will pack it for you to take and eat on the hike. The coach driver when we got off the ferry asked us all individually where we were staying and dropped us off outside our respective lodgings. Walk to Theth is stunning. Stayed at Bujtina Vellezerit Grrela in Theth £33 with breakfast, and they arranged pick up by (you have to ask)mini bus back to Shkoder for €10. I arranged all the accommodations myself through booking.com, obviously you can find cheaper or more expensive to suit your pocket. Bring snacks from Shkoder, there’s not really much in the way of shops in Valbone or Theth that I could see, but there are a couple of cafes on the hike. I didn’t do the Blue eye or the waterfall due to time constraints. But you would have to stay in Theth another day for that, so obviously factor in another nights accommodation. Hope this helps. Thoroughly recommend, it’s stunning.

Hello, May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
