Who owns Buddhism? Buddha's parents were followers of Sanatana Dharma( Hinduism) - he had a Hindu Sanskrit name - Siddhartha. Most of what he said and preached was already a part of Sanatana Dharma( Hinduism) - his Jnanabhumi or Land where he acquired knowledge of various types of meditations, his Karmabhumi or Land of Action where he tried various meditation techniques, achieved Nirvana, and then went about educating people, lie entirely within the borders of the Modern Indian Nation State. Ideas have no boundaries and cannot and should not have boundaries - no one wants polluted water or air to come into their area , but fresh and clean water and air are always welcome. So it is with Ideas that value human life. For that reason Buddhism should be welcomed everywhere and not become a Political / Military strategy to grab land and resources and subjugate people - That is totally against what Buddha preached!
Jay Bhim namo buddhay Jay Constitution
I am Buddhist, and india is No Buddhist country and there were infact no Buddhist left nomatter Buddhism might have originated from it . India is largely hindu Muslims sikh Isai .. I see tgese days they do lots of talks on Buddhism but themslves following Hinduism or other ..😂😂
Mam, anyone who listening to me, please start working on abhidhamma pitaka, which is much richer than western ethics
Bharmins are responsible for declined Buddhism in India ..😅even Bodhgaya is in the hand of bharmins how ironic.they destroyed and manipulated the small statue of Buddha into shivling infront of the main Buddha statue of Bodhgaya..
Who is responsible for DECLINE in the occupations, ~ for increasing caste consciousness (caste is attached to the occupations one is engaged in)
Are Indians now going to convert to Buddhism? Are these people don't see hope in Hinduism? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Even you accept Buddhism you will remain the same.🤣🤣🤣
Amazing Dr. Surendran......You must be appreciated.......Just keep it up....
Brahmin only. No place for cults. Ewww.
Buddhism at no point of time is said to be a part of Hinduism. It's hot core sanatanis who conspired to spread the basic Idea of concepts were derived from Hinduism. Biological Buddhists who were originated from Sakya clan never allowed to destroy the truth against hype.
😂
Thanking you very much for bringing out Prof Jeffery Long's perspective. Walking the Sanatani path is indeed walking on the razor's edge(क्षुरस्य धारा). My respects to the Prof.
A great poem... the first one.... Thanks again Mishra ji
Mishra ji is wonderful
Is Marathi translation of this book available?
These academics forget that Buddhism is very much absorbed into a broader term called Hinduism.....like brahmenism (Vedic religion and it's afterward) changed a lot with coming of it in the contacts of other local culture as it moves from Northwest india to other parts of India and the local culture got changed in return retaining their many aspects. This mixture is now called as Hinduism.....this Hinduism is ever evolving and changing so it also contain element of Buddhism Jainism ajivikas and other many small "religions" traditions of ancient India and modern India.
Buddhism has Nothing to do with your Hinduism/brahmenism!
We Indians were , are and will remain buddhist, not changed to Hinduism, only some people mostly uresian falsely claim so
Sadhu sadhu sadhu namo Buddhaye, jay mahaparam karuna.

Good people who like all-round development of India, the way goes towards Buddhism, the principles of fraternity, equality, Justice etc. The Constitution of India is based on these principles.
There is no security for Buddhists in Bangladesh. Radical Muslims are vandalizing Buddhist temples and burning Buddhist statues. Also, tribals are also not safe. Our crime is why we are Buddhists.
What Buddhism is? Morality, mindfullness and wisdom, is real Buddhism. Selflessness, loving kindness and compassion towards all being is Buddhism. For such a mind. One needs to go through Anapana and Vipassana meditation. These two meditation is the. Discovery of Buddha. Without meditation, One can not remove the ignorance, greed and hatred from our mind. Meditate is the massage of Dhamma! Now it is available all over the world.
Thanks for making such videos ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊

very insightful. Proud to be Hindu.
I will read it. thanks for it
Budhism is SANATAN Brahmanism is hinduism
Are you idiot😂 sanatan word first came into (atharva veda 11.2.24-25) and manusmriti 4.138. 😂😂😂
Buddha Shakyamuni is the sole owner of Buddhism, none another but those who understand and value Buddha's teaching can be the hire to Buddhism. Wake up India, don't ignore Buddhist wisdom and its great value. Wake up India now!
Nehru's India ignored geopolitical importance of sovereign Tibet. Sometimes I question why such a blunder made, May be It's because Tibet is a Buddhist country? Request was made by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Nehru to bring the issue in UNO, but Nehru did not bother. Ignoring to support and save Tibet is a greatest blunder made, India now faces the most severe consequences of the blunder made. However, it was indeed a blessing in disguise to revive Buddhism in India & Nepal & to spread it worldwide. If China not invaded Tibet, Buddhism could have vanished from India & Nepal. At prrsent the radical Hindutwas still try to suppress Buddhist, they politicized Buddha as an avatar of Vishnu long time back, so to make Buddhist look like a Hindu branch. However truth is truth Buddhism will prevail and shine worldwide no matter how crooked are its enemies! Jai Buddha, JAI Bhimrao Ambedkar.
It's more about polital agenda. And less with its subject..
Hello viewers, plz join 10 days vippassna course tought by S n goenka near your location....that will very helpful
Its not Hindu Gods, its Vedic gods, as they have already been appropriated by Brahmins
Talking about Buddhism without mentioning Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism is like talking about mountains without mentioning the name of the Himalaya and everest.😅😅
Not really, medieval history ki baat ho tab kah sakte hai. Tibetal buddhism is still teaching India its history, have secured its texts. But this topic was on democracy.
The arrival of Tibetan refugees in India has strength the quality and number of Bhudism across the globe especially in Nepal and in Indian Himalaya . India and China both can't own Bhudism but can be use as a political tool . As Bhudism has been wiped out from India Nepal and China . Tradition which embodies quality and integrity can own Bhudism. India can help and support those tradition which own Bhudism.
This looks anti Buddhist , misinformation about Buddhism and history of Buddhism , question “who owns Buddhism? “ is idiotic. Written new narrative about Buddhism is awful.🥵👹
Like England challenged Church. Brahminical Caste should be challenged. More than 1000 yrs, its unchallenged!! By default 90% of Indians were Buddhist . 90 % of Indian plz wake up !!!!!!
Only in Nepal Buddhism is Long time.
Nepal burnt Bhudism
It was not like that, go to the history and RrivL of Shankar Acharya, Malla kings and Rana regime itted and suppressed Buddhism in Nepal, many monks and nuns fled to South Asian countries.
