I don’t think the podcasters are judging, I think they are making sure we don’t loose the original message of Imam Hussain which is nearness to Allah swt and obedience to the haq. Some of the latmiyyah sounds like techno songs, some of speakers are just reciting fluff to get loud salawats and Naaras and you don’t walk away with any tools on how to implement religiousness. Also when I hear false inflations of the actual tragedy, it literally makes me stop crying and get annoyed

You are completely wrong and you don't know what you are talking about You flog yourselves on the day of Ashura because God has decreed retaliation upon you for insulting the honor of the Mother of the Believers Aisha, may God be pleased with her. If you do not know Arabic, Sheikh Walid Ismail will soon produce clips translated into English Let us free you from ignorance What is left of the religion if you attack the honor of the Mother of the Believers, Aisha, and say that the Qur’an has been distorted and insult the Companions, then say that we love Hussein and your ancestors are the ones who betrayed him and killed him in Iraq? By God, if Hussein were alive, he would have fought you You are the descendants of the supernatural Fear God and return to Him

I’m an oral health therapist/dental hygienist. I work in an orthodontic clinic - no idea how I can bring reform when I can’t think of any way my occupation can benefit the society and government of Imam al Mahdi (aj). If you could give me a fresh perspective, that would be really helpful.

thank you for covering this topic, you did amazing in demystifying it! it would be interesting maybe to talk about the importance of physical attraction in marriage and how we should not minimize the criteria of the looks in a partner. Some people minimize physical attraction and end up miserable in a marriage. thank you for your hard work on sharing knowledge and looking forward to more topics !

Askm Had listened to another podcast on the atrocities of west and liked the way was presented and was disappointed on the number of views. Whike it was most of times was neutral but could sense the skewed favoritism on shii rulers. Appreciate the presentation skills of the brothers. But it wd be awaste if you are only going to talk to yoir own Shii echo chamber. I hope you would stepup and keep the discussions neutral and initiate engagement with the Sunni minds to work on solutions on the common cancers. If we xould step above the sphere of our operations, the whole conflict and scenario is stage for all muslims to set aside and come together putting forth the best of what Islam offers for the common good not only for muslims but all humans. With increasing animosity to family and moral values in the west and losing our future generations. Let alone winning wars and political clout, saving our future genration should be a priority. Imagine a world where our Shia and Sunni bros can come together, i can vouch that, it wd be a revival of those years for the common good of all human beings... 🙏

Salam, thank you for making this a conversation topic. I appreciate the details and know it’s coming from a good place. If you are looking for feedback, here are some notes form a sister. The “women don’t like women” idea is very subjective opinion. This is different from culture to culture and person to person. I don’t believe it’s a gender specific behaviour. We have many loving sisterhood friendships, and honestly speaking I believe much stronger than men. We have circles of sisters who are there for each other and love and support each other without jealousy. Also, how do you place Khadijah (as) in this conversation, she worked and she was one of the wealthiest women in Arabia? Did this make her less feminine? And, imagine a world where all the women just stayed at home and didn’t work, who would be the female doctor that women need to go see? Who would be the compassionate teachers that we need in our schools? I believe, we still need to empower women to strive to contribute to society or there would be no services catered to them and their perspective will be lost and undermined.

Very interesting discussion. thank you for your effort to allow us women to let go of the pressures we have really placed on ourselves Something I disagree with was the point mentioned when Seikh Wehwah said that women usually take custody of the children not out of love for them but other reasons, and pushes the father away from the kids, then she regrets her decision because she wants to remarry. That might be the case sometimes, but we shouldn’t forget that a lot of men in the east take the children away from their mother and don’t allow her to see them. There has to be a highlight on the importance of keeping both man and woman in a respectful and mature relationship as 2 adults, that have responsibilities after divorce at least for the children.

Salam, I found this conversation very interesting , however I would disagree on the point that women don't like women. I think in some cases this is accurate but that is dependent on certain women, there age their upbringing and culture. In general women also support and advocate for women. I think a generalist comment like that undermines women and makes us seem as we are all against one another and that truly isn't the case. We can be each others biggest critics but also biggest supporters.

Selam, As a young woman who grew up in Europe and is a elhamdulillah muslim, I must admit that your words are definitely true. However, from the women's side, the big ussue nowadays is also finding the right men. Men who know their role. Men who appreciate the emotionality and dependence of women and do not exploit it. Because there are more and more men today who do not possess these values, women also tend to have a kind of backup plan. They study and try to Build a career because, unfortunately, there are more and more cases where men do not fulfill their responsibilities. Yes, they would like to completely devote themselves to the home and lean on their partner, but many women have experienced financial hardship because the man either left them or did not care for them. Unfortunately, it is more common nowadays for men to value "career" women more and take better care of them because they know these women could live on their own. As strange as it sounds, I know many men who exploit the dependence of women and make many serious mistakes because they think the woman has nothing else. This is a big problem in today's time, which is why many women want to be independent of men. I believe, however, that if the right one comes along and he fulfills his responsibilities, there is nothing more beautiful for a woman than to be protected by her husband. I pray that men and women both know their duties and rights and fulfill them. Thank you very much for the interesting podcast 🙏🏼.

Very well said. I feel that most Islamic lectures nowadays don’t take this into consideration. I too wish to completely devote myself to my household once I’m married, but will my spouse properly fulfill his obligations towards me, without abusing or taking advantage of me? Or what if Allah SWT has not written for me to get married until I am older in age? Do I sit at home and do nothing? If I don’t have a home because my parents have passed away, how do I take care of myself? These are situations that have happened to other sisters before, yet they aren’t addressed by scholars in this day and age. I wish the world was ideal according to Islamic standards, but this isn’t the case unfortunately. And most Islamic lectures neglect to address this topic from a realistic perspective.

I totally agree, you talked about how men see women, it would be good for men to listen to women as they are and how they think... so maybe it would be clear why women react in certain ways... about “women hate women” I don’t think it’s fair to generalize, but in general I really liked the podcast 👏🏻👏🏻🤍

Amazing podcast, thankyou. Would have been good to see a hijabi sister in the team to see her viewpoints. Also you mention that economic development was the driver behind the first wave of feminism. If I am trying to convince secular people about this, is there anywhere I can direct them to read about this? Jazakallah
