I have a small restoration shop in SW Minnesota and I also do parts sales (mostly) on craigslist. I'm getting into posting videos of the work I'm doing for customers, mostly for them but the whole world is welcome to watch along with the progress. I also post videos of some of the stuff I have for sale, so if something seams out of place with the rest it's probably something I want to sell. Thanks for watching and subscribing if you like.

A very well optioned 82 Dodge Rampage that sat in a garage for more than 3 decades. It'll get some more work done and be road ready in a few months and enjoy life again.

1980 Dodge D150 - Part 9, A few frame things then the cab goes on
I had those exact rims on my 1985 Plymouth turismo, with 195/60r14. Stock was 155/80r13, the 14s were a HUGE handling improvement. That was my first car, I remember that same steering wheel, shifter, door locks, brings back memories, and was actually a great car.
I'am right in the middle of doing the same thing. Thank you for clearing up some of the questions I have been asking myself. Love all of your video's.
The 5 speed swap is easy just remember you need to column support for the clutch pedal.
cool score
SCOOOOOOORE!!!! oh man that things a survivor alright! Hope I can find one that clean. Want to 318 swap one this next yr. Gah dang u got a clean one. NICE FIND MAN! Very nice find
Those were neat little trucks.
Nice 😊
Glad you are back. I'm looking forward to future videos.
Thank you for your service
My mom was given one new in 1946 as a wedding present. She loved that car ! Over the years, she had some very fine cars but she always regretted getting rid of that Chrysler Windsor.
Nice to see you, will be calling after Christmas so you have a nice holiday 😊
if ya dig a little deeper ya can find a frame that holds 2 drivers and mounts the same way - the setup being replaced here is single speaker mono radio, factory never put stereo speakers in the dash but the parts are out there for other applications of this size.
there's a reason I make my own lines
I got a Dodge truck DMT kit a couple years, was missing a piece intentionally, he seemed legit interested in adding it to future kits.
I'm looking for parts for my 84 rampage interior parts
Shoot me an email (found on mt channel's home page) of what you're looking for.
Nice job. These are good suggestions. I put a screen under the cowl on my Ramcharger, and an access door on the inside, bottom of the box. It's made a world of difference.
What a beauty! Just got a 77' cordoba from my uncle. Everything's original can't wait to get it to pass smog
I had these door locks on a '77 Cordoba I had years ago, mine never had issues so I loved them. I watched your Cordoba vids and left me thinking about using magnets and reed switches to kick solenoids that would run the lock motors. I've seen 5 wires lock motors but all I've seen being from China I'm not sure they would be strong enough to unload a door. I'm working on a '90 D150 I picked up and so I'm enjoying your videos, thanks.
Super helpful video as I am just starting the same thing on both my W's. However... Dude.... 360p in 2024?
360P, WTF youtube?!?! All my videos are done shot, processed and uploaded in HD. One more thing UA-cam has screwed I guess.
I thought that all d150 dodges had four headlights correct me if I'm wrong
100 and 150 were both 1/2 ton models. The 150 showed up in 78 and the 100 was last offered in 88 (I think?). But not always offered both in all of those years. When both the 100 and 150 were available for any given year the 150 had a slightly higher weight rating (GVW). Most likely this was due to the ever changing world of emissions and CAFE standards.
Im really liking the progress. Keep up the good work. I'd love to see that home made bearing pre load tool in action! I've only ever built Dana 44s and 8 3/4s, so I didn't even know such a thing existed or was necessary.
i envy what you do thanks for the info
A usable pickup! Not to be confused with the gas guzzling monsters Detroit is offering now. Good luck to you. Narragansett Bay
I prefer the 1977-78 grill setup..I thought the 1979-80 setup was a step backward, literally, especially the ones with the single headlights..after that I like the 1972-73 best. Never liked the "toothy" 74-76 grill as well, though it is o.k. The 79-80 deluxe grille with the quad stacked rectangular headlights are o.k. also, but the much more common 79-80 grill with the single round lamps is my least favorite of the 72-80 grills. I think if they had kept the 77-78 grill setup with large single rectangular headlights in place of the round, along with the new 79 hood and hood lettering for 79-80,it would have been a good precursor to the 1981 facelift..much like the 78-79 Ford grill and headlight setups was a good transition from the 1973-77 style to the new for 1980 truck design....
worried about the durability of the sending unit put a aftermarket unit in my cordoba lasted a couple of years and know my tank has to come out again I fill the tank every time I take it out for a car cruise. parts are crap
I put one from the same company in my daily driver 76 D100 a few years ago, other than accuracy it's been working fine. What other options are there? NOS does not exist anymore.
@@RetroAutoMN i think its the alcohol content in fuel my car sits a lot i may put 500 miles a year on it
The truck is looking great so far. Good tip on the gas tank cleanout. I cleaned out and resealed a metal tractor tank a few years ago and it didn't work for crap. Followed all the directions exactly but the stuff began peeling off immediately. Next time I'll probably skip the sealer and just try your method.
I noticed you had some rust around the seat bolts, are you going to patch that area too? My truck has that as well and I need to fix it.
I talk about that.... I sand-blasted around all the areas I put patches, those areas got sandblasted so therefore....
good to see you back
I had a similar situation with I believe it was the right stuff brake line going from the rear of the proportion valve to the back brakes. The fitting has a extruded nipple where the original had a flat nipple. I called them up and they said that they hadn't heard of this issue and they sold many of these. They offered to fix it if I sent the line in at my expense and then have it sent back at my expense but I didn't think that was right it should be correct out of the box I ended up going with believe it was In line tube and that was correct.
The sunroof is super cool. Do you think it'll affect the structural integrity very much? I feel like a lot of the rigidity of the Rampage comes from the roof.
Yes the roof is a critical component of strength in a uni-body vehicle, however.... not so much in this case. Or at least not the roof skin, plus the span between the A pillar and B pillar is so short. All that would be messed with is the skin (internal structure would be left intact), and using a factory unit from another car will add the edge that's rolled into the hole thereby adding strength back into the skin. The sunroof that I'm planning on using will be a little smaller than the factory ones on my Shelby Chargers
@@RetroAutoMN Makes sense. Thanks for the reply. Best of luck swapping it over, it'll be an even more unique vehicle.
First Time seeing this video. Great job. Can you tell me where or what the part number is for the dust boot. Ones I received look very small when looking at your. Thanks
They are the ones that came with the ball joints.
Docyou happen to have a pattern file you can share so I can duplicate them???
If you are talking about the carpet I don't have any kinda of file with the pattern for them. I just kept an extra unused set for a pattern next time (there's always a next time).
I hope you are selling those parts to help keep these beautiful historic trucks on the road.
I carry a random glovebox key on my keyring for just such occasions. You can slide it in and out a few times, which is easier than pressing down each tumbler individually. Let me know if you can’t find anyone locally that’ll make you a key for the spare one.
Do you what type of vehicle the new door lock actuator from?
The big ones are from and 85, the smaller ones are from a 90. But the 90 actuators require a different harness and relays from what I have.
@@RetroAutoMN gotcha, thanks for the reply!
You happen to have a good spare ac heater core you want to part with
I do not.
SWEEEEET! I just picked up a 78 Cordoba with the Crown Coupe roof and T-tops! Finished in dark red. I love it!
❤
What an awesome acquisition!! If it were me, go over the mechanicals, make it safe, 4 new tires, & a weekend of elbow grease to find the original paint! 👍👍 That's cool❣️
Does any single person know..would an 84 nose swap onto an 83 lol
Yes it will, easily. Header panel, bumper cover and hood. The actual bumper reinforcement is different too but I don't think it'll matter, however if you're pulling parts off of a parts vehicle grab that too. You will need to do a little change to the wiring harness on the headlights, adding the second connector for the 4 headlight set-up.
@@RetroAutoMN thank you very much. I found an 83 I am grabbing this Sunday, and while not terrible looking, I do really love the 84 front clip more.
I love the 72 - 80 trucks
It's too bad the frame is bent and the k frame is tweaked the car will not drive good until you fix that
The E58 on the trim tag means a 360 4 BBl I use to have a 1978 Magnum XE it also had the 360 4bbl
Not just 4 bbl, the HP version.
I wanna rear gas tank on my 74 PW short box, would that be doable from a long bed swap? Would you be willing to part one if so?
Easy to do so long as you get all the cross-members from the donor truck. Long and short box with the optional aft axle tank is all the same. Ramcharger tanks can be used too, they hold more fuel.
My 74 has the plug but it's threaded
I have a 74 Power Wagon adventure short box, can't lock if not fully closed. Jus thought it was Mopar thing. Like the upside down key. I enjoy your cast too. Good job brother. I'll stay tuned.
I have a 72 w200 and it has front drums
Nice 77 👍 most likely it's got a 318 engine and they are very good.
It's a 400. Kinda surprised I didn't brag about that in the video (love the 400). I know I did in it's original video. AND I already mentioned the 400 in previous comments.
@@RetroAutoMN Oh ok then cool. I had a 73 with a slant six. It was a good van, a workhorse.
I had one of these in the same color scheme - plaid interior and all. Best American van I ever owned, and there were a few. The 400 was pretty gutless, but that's the government for ya. Super comfortable on long trips. Last year of the Slope and horizontal tail lights. Mine had the ambulance door in back. Ireally liked it because I could launch my boat by walking out the bcak onto the trailer tongue without any acrobatics like with a pick up.
If that 400 was gutless there was something seriously wrong with it. This one is a real tire burner. My high-top is even so, you don't expect a van 9 feet high to do burnouts, but it does.
@@RetroAutoMN The 400 was pretty choked down by regulations. It only had a two barrel, plus a lot of other emissions stuff on it. It wasn't really THAT gutless, but for a 400, it should have been more impressive. That said, it had plenty of towing power. I do wish I had one of these great vans today.
What a great job you have done with your van. Those are the best vans Dodge ever made, in my honest opinion.
