Videos about our Farm Life. Val and I live on a 8.3 acre lot that was an old Dairy Farm located in north central Illinois just outside Chicago. About one half of the property has been dedicated to wild flower gardens and all sorts of stuff.

What a Drag! But it turned out so beautiful!
OMG! You are so welcome! Thank you for being so amazing!
We thought you'd get a kick out of that!
Beautiful footage: I am pretty sure that hummingbird moth comes from the tomato worm.
Beautiful bug. 😀
That was fun. I'm a Beekeeper. Really I think they pretty much keep me sometimes. What a great place to bee a 🐝
Wow, we we just talking about keeping bees! Did a little research and found how much goes into it. Think we'll pass and leave it up to the professionals. Looks like a ton of fun though! 😀
@@Rgreenacres it's sort of addictive but fun. More work than folks realize. This time of year 🔥the heat is miserable. Sometimes I wonder why I'm doing it. It is truly fascinating.
Could that bug been a Hummingbird Moth? www.fs.usda.gov/wildflowers/pollinators/pollinator-of-the-month/hummingbird_moth.shtml#:~:text=Quite%20often%20inexperienced%20garden%20visitors,tail%20opens%20into%20a%20fan.
Absolutely looks like it! First time I ever seen one. So pretty!
Terry your slow motion shots were fantastic!
Thanks. They are very busy little guys. Took a ton of footage to get a few shots. Must be all that sugar. Lol
❤❤❤
😀
That was a pretty song. Another good song that I know of is called "O Come, All You Unfaithful." Unfaithful, is the word. It's a contemporary version of "O Come, All Ye Faithful" which is also a very pretty song, but the new version is a song which we all or a vast majority can identify with, we are all imperfect and we all have our flaws but God is always there for us and he knows how difficult it can be at times to be human because we can be unfaithful. Anyway it's a pretty song. The band who sings the song is called Sovereign Grace Music.
😊
😦 how barbaric it looks 😂
Feels That way too!
You guys have a good playlist on all of your videos. It's like I'm watching a series. Love it!
Awesome! Thank you!
You 2 make a great Team!!😍
Thank you!!
Why is it called Chicken Prison? BTW… love all your videos. You two are an inspiration!
First off, thanks for watching. We have a ton of fun making these videos. We don't do it for the Money or anything. We just want to share how blessed we are to be where we are at in life. Our Grandson named it Chicken Prison because he used to catch our chickens and corner them up there. Here's an old video where you can see him doing just that. Again, thank you. ua-cam.com/video/raRLmSMBzU0/v-deo.htmlsi=Ch_MNX2fqPgJqZ7Q
My family on my mom's side, mostly my grandma and her parents and grandparents originally lived in the surrounding farms of the main town. Every time my grandma comes to visit, I love to hear her stories. She says that there is always something to do in a farm, that the work never ends. From what I've seen so far, a farm life is always busy. But whenever I go to see her, it's always a nice get away from the city life or from bustling town with all the gossipers always in sight.
I understand. We are always busy. Thanks for watching. And, we love it.
Nice job! Can't wait to see it covered with the Johnny Jump-Ups. Your property and teamwork are amazing. Love your videos - thank you for all the work you put into them.
Me too! It's been so hot after that project, I hope the seeds sprout soon.

Home Sweet Home 🏙🏳⚧😊✌
Will chickens eat them if you trap them? ( the beetles …not the chickens. 😊
Yes, even if they are dead and stinky. 😫
By far, this has got to be the cutest video I've seen here on YT. The two of you are so adorable and the outing to the arboretum is just endearing. God Bless 🙌
Thank you for the kind words. We just love the Arboretum. I wish we could go everyday.
Wow! What do you do now?
Let the dry and the birds will eat them. In the old days, our chickens would go nuts for them. Thanks for watching
That's really interesting; thank you!
Nice garlic crop 😊
Thank You
90 f. Heat index over a hundred🫣
Yucky
Nice property you have there
Thank you. Lots of work but love it.
Can chickens eat them
Absolutely, we used to feed them to our chickens all the time
Wow sorry you have to deal with them. Your traps seem to work well. 😊
How much do u charge for a apple?
We don't sell them sorry. Just made them for the yard. You can probably find the at You local pumpkin farm. 😀
We live in Kansas and have them and don't know how to get rid of them
I know! They're terrible. We tried everything aside from chemicals. We are thinking about using Milky Spore and see the works.
@@RgreenacresI’ve used milk spores two years in a row and it works. But keep in mind it’s only the area you use it on. We used it for our little apple orchard and no more beetles. The next year we used it in another area and no more beetles. But we see them in areas we have used spores so they still exist in numbers but the key areas are protected. I just ordered more from Amazon. Price went up significantly which is disappointing but it still works well is what I’m saying.
@AnnieLouiseG we just bought a huge box of Milky Spore. Going to put down in September.
Great job. You guys are so creative. Love your new little helper.
Thank you 🤗
Think she's a keeper!
Love them!
Thanks, fun to make too.
Dragonflies are perfect and love Maggie. She looks so at home already😊
She fits right in. Now if I can get her to stop stealing my shoes!!
She’s adorable and I know she will be spoiled and loved.❤
Oh, we're sure of it!! So far so good. I know I said it before. She is so smart. She already knows which shoe to steal, and who's flip flops to chew on. 🤪 😜
❤
Thanks Robin, and Val said she loves the Shade thingy. 😀
You said it. Life changing they are but so worth it. What a cutie. 😊
Yes they are!
Congrats! She is very cute!
And she feels like a cotton ball..
Livin her best life ❤
She will definitely have it made. So smart!
Welcome Home Maggie Mae! T&V, you all look so happy, she fits right in to your little family. congrats. Bunnies will need to relocate. i like the editing, nice work. hUgz from Ohio, Lee
Thanks Lee! It is crazy how well she has adapted to our little mess over here. She is so smart it's almost mind boggling. So far, the only complaint are missing shoes and socks. Hummmm.?
@@Rgreenacres Ter, that's so cute. does she have that coffee scented puppy breath?
Ha! Not really, usually smells like Peanut Butter! 😀
@@Rgreenacres i've only had puppies once. two black labs. they had the sweetest puppy breath...not right after they ate, of course. but what trouble they got up to. once, we found them after, an entire bag of flour was distributed quite evenly throughout the entire main floor. hehe
Congratulations!
🌄
Our strawberries took off this year. Delicious. Good luck with the you know what ( 🤫🐕)
It happened! Video coming. Maggie is her name.
Ya'll are such a good team. The yard is beautiful. We have a milk thistle here in Georgia. Thorns on the stem and every leaf. It will eat you up. I pull it then pour 30% vinegar into tbe hole. Some may disagree with that but if they ever get cut they might have a change of heart. Also it spreads like crazy. Your home is lovely. You can tell a lot of work but a lot of love has gone into it.
Thank you and, we picked up some vinegar and put in a spray bottle. We'll see if it works. Can't hurt right? Thanks again
I have had to treat a couple of times even with the 30% vinegar. Those things are wicked.
I love the staircase and upper porch. Would love to have that. ❤
I was one of the perks when we bought the place back in 98
That property is perfect for you guys. Thank god for the tractor 🚜
Absolutely! Mom would always scold me for doing everything by hand. Told me to get a tractor after she passed. Can you guess her name?
Your front porch area is so pretty and I just love the spiral staircase. Enjoying. Watching the gardens come back😊
I'm glad to see them back! Now, just weeding!!
❤
Your video on the little church inspired me to try it myself. My church birdhouse is not quite as large as yours but still a nice size. The roofline is simple but has a steeple. Thanks for the inspiration.
I hope it turns out great!
Val’s herb gardens are beautiful.
Thanks 😊
Bee Aye You Tea Full T&V i love your movies!
Thank you
Terry, wow, you got a good view of the nest. isn't nature wonderful? thanks for another nice movie, Lee
Took me forever since I waited for mom and dad to leave so I wouldn't scare them. It was llike a mission impossible! Lol
When mom gets in the nest there isn’t much room left.
And she just pushes her way in! Lol
@@Rgreenacres someone has to keep those kids in line.
The Irises were beautiful.❤
Thanks Cheryl. They are one of our favorites. I just wish they'd bloom all summer long. 🌼 🌸 🌻
@@Rgreenacres Daisy’s are my favorite.
looks pretty
They were amazing!
This is incredible!! I’m 55 and I never knew how birds open their beaks like that to talk and sing!!! I’ve only been close up to parrots, cockatiels, conures, crows etc and this is just fascinating to me! Thank you Terry and Val!!! 😊
They are beautiful creatures. I'm so glad they come back every year. Another pair lives around the corner in the gourd birdhouse. They are extremely territorial and some days it like a war out here. Tons of yelling and screaming (from the wrens of course).
Totally enjoyable 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
