The dinner itself was lovely, but just lacking a bit of veg! We could order extra sprouts or extra roasties too but there was no need for that, I think we would’ve had some extra veg if we’d had an earlier table. Not to worry, we’ll go back another time 😊

I would have expected so much more in terms of veg selection, quality and service for that price. We come over there from our home in western Canada every 2 years and have wanted to try there but so far have not managed it. Might not bother next time we come over.

@@geordienufc3132it was a little disappointing, I’ve had nothing but great experiences in the past from Blackfriars though. Unsure if they were a bit rushed as it was very busy, they shouldn’t have no veg left at 2pm though.

Hi there, thanks very much for taking the time to comment! I think maybe the bill was bumped up a little by 2 x negroni for me at £20, I’d have just had a pint at the White Swan which would be around £5 I guess, so that’s definitely made a difference. A good shout on the White Swan in Dinnington though, they do a very good dinner indeed, we really enjoyed it there. I would say Nest was better than White Swan, but that’s definitely not a slight on the White Swan as it is a great place for a Sunday lunch😊

I have no idea about the fried chicken, I was quite drunk ha! I've been to Amsterdam quite a few times and i barely remember any of the trips 😄😄

@@ganforbaitlike I've been living in western Canada for 44 years but come over quite regularly but never went back to that museum. Used to go regular when I was kid to see Turbinia which is now in the that museum beside the old marlborough crescent bus station.

@@geordienufc3132yes that’s right, Turbinia is now at the Discovery museum. Would definitely recommend popping along to see what they’ve done with the place, it’s a beautiful building
