I do not have the tools or skill to build one but I’d love to own one and cherish as my sole gbc please build these to order or offer prebuilt ones on your shop idc if it’s $300+ idc if it’s $400 maybe a bit more I want one bad! If the buttons feel and work as well as a gba so i’d be stoked as that’s my favorite gameboy it’s the one I grew up with

Could you use usbC to headphone like on iphones?

I purchased a GBC with this mod and have noticed that any game that requires jumping with the A button that the jumping is erratic. sometimes it does a full jump other times it does what's like a quarter to a half jump or it tries to jump multiple times from one press. I've taken everything apart and cleaned it and tried 2 sets of membranes. any ideas?

I would love to see a try in putting gba hardware in this exact form factor instead of gbc hardware as the gba can change the collors of gb games to have more colors and it can also play gba games, it would be Really intresting to see, idk if its even doable lol

remaking a whole motherboard using the original chips is genius ! and making it even smaller is even more genius !!!!! it kinda reminds me of those people that make wii portables using trimmed motherboards but on a different level !

Now I'm trying to figure out how painful it would be to modify your design for GBP parts. Just cause the GBC gets more and more expensive and less and less people want to bother fixing the GBP.

This is such a cool, amazing mod! And, to the people on Etsy that are willing to build and sell completely assembled Tad Boy Colors to those of us like me who are unsure about our capability of not absolutely wasting money because we screwed something up, I'm very very happy to have ordered one! This is such a cool gadget, I had to get one to hold in my hands and use. I really hope you keep working on fun side-projects like this! I'd love to see your take on something similar but with the GBA SP! I know there's already the Unhinged and Slate designs out there, but the more novel approaches people like you come up with, the better it is for the rest of the community.

I am both impressed and appalled he didn't use a solder paste stencil. Either way, this is some of the highest quality craftmanship I have seen on youtube.

Absolutely hate this. The volume scroll wheel is cute af and the decision to not include a headphone jack was utterly PRACTICAL. I already regret my decision to click subscribe after I post this comment but someone has to keep this madness in check 😤
