    • @AaronTrainerFit
      @AaronTrainerFit Місяць тому

      That’s really tricky. But it comes down to being creative and determined. I’ve literally used a wheel chair before with injury (it’s a fantastic workout by the way). So it might mean flat walking only, taking more steps without weight added or without incline. As you lose weight that’ll be easier on your body too. Or it may mean the elliptical or an arch trainer if that’s smoother on your joints. We have a hand bike at the gym for injury or paralysis so I use that also when I’m injured.

    • @AaronTrainerFit
      @AaronTrainerFit Місяць тому

      Yeah that’s difficult. Two things you can do: focus on a lot of movement each day, make up for it that way. Or focus on long term muscle growth, so that your energy needs increase with time and you require more calories. Then what used to be your maintenance will now be your deficit.

  • @ahmedalzubairi9700

    so I had a couple of questions: 1) What is the purpose of doing the steps vs lower deficit? In other words, why bother burning 400 calories from walking when I can just reduce my diet by 400 calories? 2) For transparency here, title says just walking but you mention full body workouts. Fair to say that you won't get results with only just walking? Out of curiosity, what will you see is the ballpark impact on just doing walking vs walking every day + lifting 2-3 times a week?

    • @AaronTrainerFit
      @AaronTrainerFit Місяць тому

      You can totally get results from just walking. You won’t keep all your muscle tho. But you don’t necessarily have to or may not even want to. The purpose of not just lowering the diet is that if you only go for your deficit from one angle that angle is going to have to be pretty severe and will cause more discomfort and the higher chance of quitting. I haven’t met a single person who just dieted the weight off and kept it off for 5 years. To me (and according to research) that shows that exercise is crucial to helping you eat more from your diet and still be in a deficit. Hope that helps!

      @@michellecolledge2355 it’s sweet, imo far superior to in person due to just how often I can hold clients accountable and encourage them. So it’s done through my app. Your program is input and you simply follow your workouts set by set, it’s pretty simple. Exercise videos of each exercise and you track weight and reps. You also track your weight, progress photos, steps, sleep, and more if you’d like. Of course it connect to myfitnesspal so I also like to coach macros and calories with clients for the complete package to get them awesome results. I check in with clients M-F, three days a week are numbers reviews where I break all those numbers down and tell clients what to change or keep doing, and two days are just “how are you feeling today” messages. I usually do videos or audio messages three days a week to keep it really personal and highly accountable!

    I lost weight walking 10k steps a day and cuttings sugar from my diet. Not all sugar, just from coffee, also I don't eat snacks or drink sweet drinks or sodas so it was easy for me. I don't know how much I've lost because I don't use scale but it shows. I started with 5k and I went from there a little more every day. I gained weight again(a lot) after surgery but I'm starting again with walking (with my doggo). I started about 2 weeks ago and I see a difference already. I don't even count calories because I've always gad pretty good eating habits, I just needed to adjust it a little. Loosing weight is easy when you really want it.

      I agree not to mention if you are going really hard on your cardio sessions you could potentially be fatiguing your CNS which would negatively impact your lifting sessions. I always suggest trying to hit 10k steps a day when your walking for fat loss since it averages out to around 500 calories a day so 1 lb a week (if your eating at maintenance) and its not really that challenging to do without thinking about it to much. I work from home and don't go out much so I use walking as a way to get a tan and fix my posture so I don't look so much like a cave dweller lol. Just plug in a good audio book and go for a stroll. Doesn't it depends on whether you actually get your hearteate up? Cardio is about training the cardiopulmonary system, right? So if you can walk 5000 steps without ever getting out of beeath, it's not cardio, just healthy for the legs. That's the way I understand it.

      Yes I agree. and that’s why I was saying in the video. At first it may get a person to that zone 2 level and that would certainly be cardio

    Would walking still be considered cardio 5000-7000 steps and day?
