    Is there a way or a material that can be used to reduce the compass holes?

    • @clarissagrandi
      @clarissagrandi 5 місяців тому

      Hi Joey, a thicker paper helps, such as watercolour paper. The compass point doesn't sink in so far. Also, with practice you'll develop a lighter touch with your compass. But, you can also protect the surface of the paper with a small 'pads' of masking tape, each built from 3 or 4 layers of tape, which you remove once the drawing is complete. This technique is especially useful for patterns where you use the same compass hole many times, like this triskele.

    Got it on go 3 💪, you must do a video on how you got that lovely blended green

      Yay! And yes, that's a great idea. The technique is quite simple, using fineliner pens (or felt tips) with a damp paintbrush. Look out for a future tutorial!

    On peut utiliser une aiguille a tricoter pour marquer le pli , ca va tres bien . Les motifs geometriques se trouvent dans les mosaiques de l antiquite Romaine et plus de 1000 ont ete repertorie par les archeologues a ce jour . J aime ce que vous faites , mais la video est trop longue , merci de partager votre savoir avec nous , bonne continuation

    This video was outstanding. She is so clear in her directions and doing it real time was a piece of cake (sure, I paused it multiple times but I was also watching a movie!). The best is she teaches you how to augment the spirals if you want to change its size (and hence changing the number of spirals). I will be looking at her other videos soon!

      Yes, that’s the case with all Skillshare free trials, I’m afraid. However, I can confirm that no payment is taken until the free month has passed. So I always advise those who are sure that they don’t wish to continue, to set a reminder in their phones to cancel the trial before the month is up. It’s straightforward to do via a web browser. I do understand that some don't wish to enter their data at all, if they can help it. In future, I'm planning to host my classes on my own website too, so watch this space!

    The word Mandala & yantra come from Sanaatan India. Yantras were technical equipment based on complex sacred patterns which were revealed during meditations.

  • @infinity1726
    @infinity1726 2 роки тому

    & You should check out the knowledge of differentials, calculus and high end mathematics, astronomy and physics which the Rishis of India knew even before Lord Buddha was born. That kind of mathematics is known when you know sacred geometry and the base of sacred geometry - which is the zero, the circle, the infinity. The rishis, saints knew of nothingness, so they certainly were constructing things with sacred geometry. A lot of which was just destroyed by invaders.

  • @infinity1726
    @infinity1726 2 роки тому

    Also you should check out Indian Sanaatan architecture. This persian art is a smaller scale art. The most complex geometry is in architecture coz it takes a lot more to construct it in big stones without having the precision of machine at that time. Check out the temples in South India and South East Asia. (not much in North India anymore as temples were destroyed by Islamic invaders). The whole South East region was Hindu/Sanaatani. The precision and intricacy with which the temples are created, they form powerful healing zones, zones where you connect with other beings or subtler, nuclear forces because of the sacred geometry. Check out Praveen Mohan's UA-cam channel or just google all this.

    Can we please stop calling this Islamic design? At best, you should call it Middle Eastern or Persian design. Persians were way more advanced before the birth of Prophet Mohammad. They were all Sanaatanis before Islam was forced upon them. Some were Zoorastrians, some Yazidi, some Tengrism followers etc, but essentially all were sanaatani. As you know Greece was also sanaatani. This art and its knowledge was available way before Islam. Islam has nothing to do with it. Those residents and artists later had to adopt islam.

      Thank you for taking the time to comment. Islamic geometric design is a commonly used used name for this type of geometric design, but I understand that the use is contentious. I will take on board your feedback, and am interested to explore the suggested areas of research you mention in your other comments. It is good to be challenged and educated!
