I am living proof of abortion rights. My mother made a bad decision and slept with a man that she thought was single. When she told him that she was pregnant he said, "Well, hell! I'm married!" He then moved his wife and four kids to Indiana from Owensboro, KY. She decided to keep her baby boy and was trying to take care of herself, him, and her sick, elderly mother. She married the first man that came along and they had a son. Then she cut off my dad which pissed him off so he proceeded to tell her that he wanted a girl, just so he could sleep with his own wife. As soon as she got pregnant with me she cut him off again and he told me that she would lay in bed and cry cause she was having me. He started molesting his stepson, skipped his own son, and went straight to me! He started molesting me when I was 10 and didn't stop until I got married. I married the first jerk that came along just to get away from him. I know I suffer from PTSD from the years of abuse I suffered at the hands of my own father and the physical and emotional abuse from my husband. I wished I had never been born. And I will always advocate for abortion rights
Everyone has their own personal opinion on abortion. But, when you’re a doctor you don’t get to have personal opinion on the topic. You gave up the right to have an opinion when you took the oath of a doctor, you keep your personal opinions to yourself. And you damn sure don’t get to have an opinion when it’s not your patient.
false. you make an oath to cause no harm. Abortion always kills a human and if you look at the statistics, causes a lot of damage to women. In fact, the vast majority of abortions are :choices" due to pressure, abandonment, and fear. Nothing truly solving the women's problems.
Just from that clip, I already hate these characters and they should not be running this clinic. Women should have the right to choose to not carry out a pregnancy, not the doctors or whatever they believe in. It's not their body.

But technically if it's in the embryonic stage it's a clump of cells which makes it reasonable to have an abortion. and for all, you out there maybe read a study or the bills before you make a comment for "rights" cause as a woman plenty also say biological men are now women and can get pregnant and take away even more from women so either get your story straight or stop speaking about men not having a voice. If you get pregnant you get to decide. Men have absolutely no say in this. They are not the ones going throug mentall and physical trauma so an unwanted child can be brought to term. You dont have a uterus, you dont get a say on what others with uteruses do with their body.
@@avery5769 Because men still have to have the baby even if they don’t want it. Men don’t get to say fuck the financial burden of a child. The deserve a choice. The saying is it takes two to have a baby. If you hold this ideal then it means women who decide to keep the baby should not be able to forced men to pay child support or do anything. In a society one group is never just society affected alone. The best analogy I can think of in this moment is a boss who starts a company. The workers do just as much in making in run. If the boss be able to do whatever they want without consideration of the people.... ie taking a certain benefits that would be wrong. But using this logic the boss took the biggest “risk” and would lose the most so it’s fair
@@myacole1272 I understand what you’re saying, believe me I do. I think the analogy was great. It’s just, you know, if the father wanted, he could walk away from the pregnancy. He could run away. But where is that option for women? They will always be stuck with the child. At least for the 9 months. You could bring up adoption but the childcare system is heavily underfunded. The chances that a child would end up in a happy home are pretty low. And even if they aren’t adopted, there’s the chance of being sexually, physically, or emotionally abused by anybody there. In my opinion, the father can say what he wants, but he does not get the final decision.
@@avery5769 actually babies are the most adopted and cared for. It’s older children in the system that are not the safest. Wait is she the lady who had seizures in Grey's anatomy. It was the episode where Izzy and George were spending the whole day with her and at the end they started fighting and that caused her seizure.
Dell telling that women his opinion on abortions is horrible - it’s her body her choice. A women as a right to make her own decision about her own body. Always. But I do still think the new doctor should have told the others she wanted to do them so they could discuss it because even if you aren’t against abortion Naomi and Cooper still have valid points regarding the environment they would be held in. Also no matter what she wanted to do she still should’ve told them considering they were letting her work there - it wasn’t her practice to decide what they did or didn’t do there
Would we also expect every doctor in the practice to specify what procedures they do/don’t do? If so, then Meg should have told them. But if we wouldn’t expect Naomi to discuss and list every single fertility treatment, or Addison to talk about every OBGYN procedure, then we shouldn’t expect Meg to list this medical procedure (amongst the many she performs).
« Told her my opinion » he said. He probably said that abortion would be make her a murderer and did everything to make her feel guilty. Choice is choice dude, if you don’t respect that then mind someone else’s business
I think you have to consider Dell's opinion something that was broadcasted 10 years ago. Nowadays, the audience stands with Addison (especially with the Supreme Court's deplorable decision this year...) At least I hope they do.
Im with Naomi here. She's a fertility specialist which means she helps people to get pregnant. How does that look that down the hall you have a specialist that terminates pregnancies? It contradicts what the practice is about which is pro life all pro life. Getting an abortion is a person's personal choice but to do it in the same practice as trying to get pregnant makes no sense. You got people trying to get pregnant but can't yet you have people who get pregnant and don't want the baby yeah that's not gonna look right and feel right.
Faith Watkins helping people who WANT to get pregnant get pregnant isn’t prolife. I never watched the entire show but they should be about providing some health care for people. If someone doesn’t want a baby that’s their right and if someone wants a baby that their right too. Just because someone wants to have a baby but they can’t doesn’t mean everyone who’s carting a baby should be grateful and deserves less rights if they are not
I see no problem with having a fertility clinic also doing abortions. Some women want child and some dont want them, or they dont want them in a certain period of their lifes, but its not fault no the responsability of a women that chooses to terminate the pregnancy that other women cant get pregnant.
@@isabeli.9481 If someone is going to a fertility clinic it's because they've been trying to get pregnant and can't. Seeing someone who did get pregnant killing their unborn child in a place that should be solely helping women to conceive is depressing and traumatising to infertile women. No, it's not the fault of the woman who chose to get an abortion that the woman going to the clinic for fertility treatment can't conceive. But it's bad practice to operate an abortion wing in a fertility clinic. It's the psychology of the matter.
Just for the sake of clarity Oceanside wellness is NOT just a fertility clinic. It is a co-op practice. Hence, why you see Coop with his pediatrics or Addison with her gynecology. It is not a mutually exclusive fertility clinic as you all make it seem out to be. There are people with other practices there, heck just look at Charlotte a few seasons later as a sexologist. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you do not get to demean others for their opinion that’s just a fucking low blow. I never liked Naomi. She was so hypocritical and frustrating to watch. She claims to be so pro life and a couple episodes and seasons later almost forces her daughter to get a fucking abortion. Her character confuses the hell out of me and every time she got mad it was god damn annoying.
That part always drove me crazy. He thought that it was his place to tell a woman that she can’t undo a mistake that could mentally, physically, and financially ruin her. Bullshit. Abortion is removing a cluster of cells. Especially when they’re done early. It is not killing a person. If it were, then people would feel the same about taking people off of life support. That is not a person, it is a body.
It is not just a cluster of cells. Human life starts the second sperm and egg meet. We don’t hatch from eggs. We’ develop from them. Embryo Zygote Fetus Newborn Infant Toddler They are all stages of development from sperm and egg meeting until geriatric. We don’t just hatch out of the egg or embryo we grow from it !
That is so disrespectful. Most women get abortions because it is the right thing to do for the baby. They could get it because they can’t afford a child and they are sparing that child and there selfs of working 12 hours a day 7 days a week just so that food it out on the table. And then some women get an abortion because there just not ready or too young to have a child which is also sparing the child of being raised by irresponsible parents. There are also people who get pregnant and realize that there baby has genetic disease that won’t let them live or if they do live they would live and awful live which is also sparing the baby. And finally if the egg is in her body it’s her choice and please don’t tell me otherwise.
it's amazing how I consumed so much progressive trashy propaganda growing up and how they still push it at all cost
Naomi doesn't agree with abortions.....unless it's trying to force her daughter to get one.

Sorry but wasnt naomi the one who tried to force her daughter into an abortion? Sorry but she is so hypocritical in my opinion.

Wow! Hit home and loved how each stuck to their convictions! Bottom line...
If you get pregnant you get to decide. Men have absolutely no say in this. They are not the ones going throug mentall and physical trauma so an unwanted child can be brought to term. You dont have a uterus, you dont get a say on what others with uteruses do with their body.
That’s dumbass logic
@@myacole1272 how
@@avery5769 Because men still have to have the baby even if they don’t want it.
And even if the father runs away, the child support will still follow and he can have his check dipped and he can face jail time. And women have a bunch of ways to avoid pregnancy as well. Ie. The plethora of safe sex options.

I love the part in one of the episodes where Addison talks about being one of only 1700 abortion providers in the United States.
Jupp. It was in episode 4x21. :)
That sounds like a lot of people until you realize there are 175 million women in the USA.
@@maureenogorman8740 It's a small number. That's the point.
Wait is she the lady who had seizures in Grey's anatomy. It was the episode where Izzy and George were spending the whole day with her and at the end they started fighting and that caused her seizure.
Yes
ItsEmi I agree but he doesn't think the same anymore
A body belongs to a *someone*. The concept of personhood may be subjective, but human development is not.
Morgan Kay well I think it was because of what happened with his daughter he doesn't think the same anymore
Abortion is murder. Murder is murder and should be illegal
No
No
That is so disrespectful.
You're not murdering anything though, you're terminating a small cluster of cells
