Moto Guzzi V100 accessories to consider for your v100.
This video is of the various Moto Guzzi V100 accessories I've installed, which may help give people ideas on what they might want to do to their bike. Bike currently has about 600 miles on it.
I forgot to mention I also have the high heated comfort seat which is very comfy. Also forgot to show & mention the socket I bought for the rear axle nut for when the time comes that I need to replace the rear wheel. I didn't have the Biondi Sport (Short) Windscreen installed as I'm no longer in summer mode, but if you watch WingsGeo channel/videos he has it in his v100 video as well. There's basically no function to it since it's so short, so it's all about form.

My first video with my Moto Guzzi V85TT and the Insta360 camera
Переглядів 1,4 тис.2 роки тому
My first video with the Insta360 camera. Definitely need a different mic setup as the built in mic isn't cutting it for riding. Rode from my place up Skyline road. Camera stick was pointed up but fell down and hung to the right shortly after leaving, which I didn't realize. I'm lucky I didn't run the camera into something since I had no clue until nearly the end of the video.

    I have a '24 V100 Aviazione Navale, like yours. I just can't bring myself to make it into a touring bike though. If I wanted to do all that, I would've started with a Stelvio, the Navale is just too nice of a bike. A quick-shifter on a touring rig makes no sense...

    • @StockySnail
      @StockySnail Місяць тому

      Make sense to me as I'd rather not shift and it shifts much quicker than I can pull the lever, pull my foot, and release the lever. I also like that it's lower to the ground than the Stelvio. It's easy to take off the boxes to make it look less touring like. The Stelvio to me is just a taller v100.

      From what I remember, I think the plug is under the tank near the seat areawhich is why it takes a while for the dealer to do as they need to take the bike apart to plug it in.

    Now that MG has moved into the 21st Cemtury, and has cruise control technology....maybe they'll bring back the Norge. I loved the looks of that bike and would have had one but a touring bike with no cruise control was ludicrous. I LOVE this V100 but not enough wind protection for my long rides. There are add-on windscreen deflectors out there to get the wind moving higher. Also a little tid bit for riders. Laminar lip will custom make a lip if you send them your windscreen. The reason you must specify that you've installed a taller windscreen is to disable height adjustment at high speeds. The extra leverage of a tall screen puts excessive stress on the adjustment mechanism if you adjust at speeds over, I believe, 80 mph. So sayeth the manual. The front fender extender is a good idea to lessen the amount of crud that gets flung onto the radiator and engine, but I couldn't abide the poor fit of the one shown here. Hopefully other aftermarket solutions will be available soon. Cheers from a Verde V100S owner.

    Thank you for sharing Josh. If you would not mind, are the top box liner and lower comfort seat OEM or aftermarket? I am figuring the seat is OEM (factory MG) but not sure the liner(s). I like the extra protection of the tall windshield, the anti-glare for display screen and the way you mounted the instant 360. Maybe see you out on the road/trail someday:)

      You're welcome. The top and side box liners/bags are from Moto Guzzi as is the comfort seat. I thought the original seat was good but rode a couple hours and had a little pain and so I tried the comfort seat and now I can ride even longer without any pain. The liners are nice as they have handles and zip up so you can pull them out with stuff in them super easy. You can find most everything on AF1 racing's website except for the windshield.😉

    • @StockySnail
      @StockySnail 2 роки тому

      No reliability issues for me. The drive shaft oil was overfilled from the factory but changed it myself along with the transmission oil, and engine oil at 900 miles. I also replaced the spark plugs and adjusted the valves myself from other videos. The heated grips install was harder but not impossible since the gas tank needs to be lifted a little. Parts can sometimes take longer to arrive but AF1 racing is where I order most my stuff and they are good about saying how long some parts may take. The bike is easy to work on compared to other bikes and cars so far.

      Doesn't look like youtube will let me attach pictures in comments so I won't be able to. There are 3 bolts on the side of the headlight and the bracket the kit came with uses the lower two bolts and the bracket is inbetween the bar and the headlight. Perhaps if you go to some websites that sell them they will have instructions to download. I threw mine away after I installed them.

    Buy used rear pegs on eBay and put on the back in case you want to take someone with you, your akrapovic exhaust will bolt on the pegs bottom little hole, because is how I have it on my 2021 Aprilia tuono 660 with the same exhaust system, Mine is black and I put the black seat, with a list of extra accessories

    Did the Akra make a noticeable difference to sound? Basically would you buy it again? I'm actually thinking of the exact same screen too. I get wind blast around the chin area at 80mph+. Its supposed to be a noticeable improvement with the screen you have. You'll have some fun on that. It's great in the twisties. Very agile. Enjoy

      The Akra came on the bike so I don't know exactly what it sounded like before. It's loud so I'd say ear plugs are required, but it does sound awesome. Based on other youtube videos the stock sounded pretty good as well. For the screen I'd say yes it helps reduce the focused blast so I'd say give it a try. I'm 6' and it was hitting me in the upper chest the most and now it's reduced.

      It's not that loud on my tuono 660, I was going to get the SC exhaust, but they didn't have it in stock at the time when I was picking up my Aprilia 660 at the dealer, so I had to get the Akrapovic Titanium exhaust, that is a lot quiter than the SC project exhaust, If you are a person that like to stay on the loud but not too loud exhaust get the SC project, if you want to stay a little more on the quiet side get the Akrapovic exhaust,

    Skip the factory USB port, it's super slow and never would charge up my phone while riding. I ended up installing the Quad Lock USB Smart Adapter on mine even though I have a OEM USB port. I also have the Quad Lock wireless charger mount but a normal cable would be just fine.

    Nothing you do to your motorcycle needs to be justified. You do not need a reason, you do what you like. I own the same bike and I am going to do a few more things in the coming months. This month marks the one-year mark for mine and just over 5200 miles. I got mine new. I have installed adjustable brake and clutch levers, tail tidy, frame sliders and rear spools. I am looking at the same exhaust you have with a tune, IMU and quick shift. I am just doing things little by little and having fun with it. I have not had any problem with the seat and I like the red. I get complements on the bike most every day. The Tuono 660 is a very good-looking bike and a fun one ride. I think, for me, the bike stand and hydraulic motorcycle lift have been the most useful additions for the bike. It makes cleaning and maintenance much more enjoyable.

      Label/words on the middle cushion or the tiny tag on the side? It's the comfort low seat from Moto Guzzi.
