Rogan's Journey Starts
Переглядів 7821 день тому
Rogan gets a bit nervous to be away from his new friends. I want to help him feel safe when they are not around. So we are in line of sight and at a distance just walking. The best way to be with animas is to be with them. Not command or cue them. But to teach them and ourselves to be aware of each other. I am working with him here to pay attention to my body and my invitation for him to follow...
Comfort with Bloodwork Game
Переглядів 5328 днів тому
This can be a great game to play with your pups for 5 minutes a day to help ease their discomfort at the vet. It's not just the poking that they are uncomfortable with rather the handling. Embracing or restraining pets does not come naturally for them. So when we hug them it is putting uncomfortable spacial pressure on them and their personal space. What you will need: A plan - what leg? A quie...
Unexpected practice with Clover's reactivity.

In a perfect world Clover would not have been put in this situation. There was too much pressure. But as it had happened, I had gone with it. and when necessary, I had adjusted her setting to prevent even more reactivity.
Options for Enrichment
Переглядів 163 місяці тому
More talk on enrichment. This time though a little guidance on thinking outside the box. Lets help each other find something that enriches our animals. Food is the easiest to think of but sometimes there is a dog/cat that have challenges with their appetite and we can't use food. So how do we help our animals learn without food?! Great Questions!!! By finding something else that makes them so h...
Calm around food exercise
Переглядів 824 місяці тому
Jumping up on people is one of the biggest concerns I get asked about. Many times the jumping is a cause of the effect of the way we handle food. Not really a thing to shame anyone about. We are human. and we do human things. It takes time to learn and practice for ourselves. Add to that we are also teaching our dogs at the same time. Too much at once. This game is a great way to help your pups...
Helping with Jumpy Snappy Pups
Переглядів 2834 місяці тому
There are many reasons dogs are jumpy. One of them is for food. We have our habits when it comes to working with food. This is a game to play with your pups to help them to be calm around food and that it will help them to learn food will come.

This is a topic close to my heart. Providing the opportunity to teach our pets they are safe for everything we do for them in the Vet setting, home care and grooming setting. Mini courses to come.

Station Skill Door edition
Переглядів 134 місяці тому
In these lessons I am starting to apply the station skill to a particular purpose. Clover knows how to station but now she is learning to have a more concrete purpose to the station skill. I am not talking to her because there should never be talking during lessons. It makes the learning process more challenging. A station should be a non-skid mat. Yoga mats and bath mats are great for this!! Y...

Hey dear 👋 I noticed that all the videos on your UA-cam channel are amazing. But the problem is your video is not fully optimized so views are not increasing You make videos to monetize and get exposure to people working hard but to no avail. Don't you want your video to go viral very quickly?
