Literally have 3 shades of blonde w wella even tho im light enough. Had snow cap in my hand but they suggested wella. Going back to get ion tomorrow

I used ion on my hair recently and it turned my very blond hair grey and purple. It was no longer bleach blonde.

I used snowcap and it was a bit silver then faded without a washing to a nice platinum. It was shockingly even

Ion They have a after color / tone product that's sapose to give you longer color results I'm gonna try it today hope it helps

I am with you,Wella just can't handle full coverage if you are already blonde, platinum... I can barely leave it on for 5 minutes when it starts turning a very light lavender it's time to get it off my head now everybody's hair is different but if I left it on the first time I used it I left it on for 15 minutes I had to use Dawn and some baking soda to get the purple out of my hair it was that purple so no more I use the ion developer which is so wonderful it smells good there's none of that none ammonia smell and if you have a sensitive scalp and your scalp will be but it doesn't even change that on I use that with my L'Oreal quickly I have not tried the ion colors yet but I think my next color will be in September 3rd well that's what I'm saying now I usually color every 2 months so September 3rd will be my next color cuz I am Platinum but you know hair is weird and it grows out better and faster I have been using the aphogee protein to treatment matter of fact I just went and bought pretty much every product they had their products are fabulous and they're good on every type of hair. I totally understand the persons response about well that's because that's where your hair was over processed blah blah blah blah blah Karen but why when you use an eye on toner does it come out one color you know it just is a better product sorry Lola I mean well has a lot of great products out there but sometimes you have to use a couple of different toners the toners are very hard on your hair I mean let's face it a cream toner is so much better and especially used with a cream developer for sensitive skill you can't go wrong so I am now a new ion girl.

I don’t know what any of this is or means. It seems you’ve experimented with your hair a lot. I’ve never done anything to mine and it’s thinning but I have that ion lightener thinking I would do something finally but seems it needs other components so now I’m convinced I’ll go bald if I try. Well done to you tho! These videos are enlightening.

Absolutely love Ion brand products!! they work well with each other and I've never had a bad experience with their products. Ive used their lightening cream, semi-perminant dye, toner, and developer and I'm a huge fan! The lightener liften me from a medium/dark brown to a pale yellow blonde in one session, with some damage of course, but that is to be expected. Their toners work like magic just like she describes in the video. Their semi-perminant dye (i used Red) is very helpful for those who want to change colors often, it gives no noticeable damage and lifts great with lightener.

Turned out good but some of the facts you were spitting and talking are completely false.

All fools who use 40 Volume Peroxide, burn their scalps. Dumb. You NEVER use 40 Volume Peroxide to bleach hair. TIME is the key. How long a person leaves the bleach mixture on their hair is the MOST important factor. Black/dark brown color: 60-70 minutes, processing Medium brown:45-60 minutes Dark blonde: 30-45 minutes Medium/Light: 20-30 minutes I have dark brown/red undertone hair. Used 30 Volume Peroxide in bleach mixture. Left on for 70 minutes. Washed, let dry naturally. Reprocessed using 30 Volume Peroxide, left on for 45 minutes. My hair is pure, paper white. No yellow at all. My hair has NO mushiness when wet, healthy and shiny. I do nit use Conditioners. I only use Aragon Oil or Silk Oil, on damp hair then small amount on dry hair. My hair grows faster without heavy Dimethicone laden conditioners. People are uneducated about Chemically restructuring their hair. Heck....nowadays....people are just plain, uneducated. Sad.

I'm so glad you said what you said about wella ! I stopped using it years ago because I found it damaged the hair shaft on every single client and that not even the toners ! I've used ion for years , love the fact that they do used conditioning ingredients in their products.

I've used the lavender and the pink ion ones, and both of the wella ones you mention. I agree the ion ones were way better! Way better! I won't buy the well ones again and I havent used the ones I have here at home...lol Also if you want ashy blonde you can use a high lift color instead of bleach in 11n it's a neutral color so it won't be brassy, it works good and it's more gentle on your hair. It's not for use if you're trying to go white white though. This is for a ash blonde.

This tones are not for ur hair color level u will need to bleach and bring the high level for the toners to come bright

Toner is used to cancel out resulting hues that - depending on what you start with is the result from lightening - whatever tone your hair takes on after lightening you need to deposit the opposite color on the color wheel to "cancel out those underlying tones" so purple cancels yellow, blue cancels orange - pink I would assume cancels out green - toner is not hair color

A shower filter helps with not receiving rusts from the water. Also, a good purple shampoo and conditioner. Also, oil naturally makes the hair yellow, I recommend clear or white like BioSilk.

Your hair turned out a nice ash blonde, blue-violet base. But I saw when you had applied it that many sections were not fully saturated. The application was too thin and splotchy. Your hair looks like it can use two tubes easily to get a full even saturation. I’ve noticed most DIYs on YT saturate their ends like crazy and neglect the midshaft which is the most resistant section. I’d have to say in this case the product didn’t fail, you just needed more of it and didn’t realize the pink box didn’t indicate it was a pink dye.

I have natural platinum silver hair and used Ion “Modern Beige” toner with 10 volume developer. It came out a beautiful level 10 beige blonde and has not washed out even after a year it is a permanent dye with less fade and oxidation than a “permanent” color. It is still the same as the initial application. Why did ION discontinue this gorgeous color, especially because it was such a good seller, I don’t understand. But now I’m stuck with 3 inches of grow out silver white and the lovely beige in the rest. I’d like to highlight the beige with my root color to blend away the demarcation line so I’m wondering which toner to use for that. This video is very helpful, thank you.

The roots taking to the bleach more is not really mainly because it's virgin hair but because it's close to your scalp which is warm. The hotter temperature of your scalp is why it processes so quickly. That's why they tell you to use foils and heat to bleach.
