new start
Переглядів 58810 років тому
Why are you not feeling your best? Beacuse you don't do what you're usually do, when it comes to training and diet. It's OK to train a Little less and and cheat with the diet for a while but you can only do it for so long then it start's to show both in your performance and looks. Now when summer is over do I look forward to get into my usually routines again:-)

      Thanks for asking😊 I’m doing pretty much the same as I did back then. I eat the same but I train about 1/3 of what I did because of my right shoulder that keep getting worse. I look the same a bit thinner hair though🥲 but body wise there not much of a difference.

    Hey Mads! What are your thoughts on bread? And pasta?

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 4 роки тому

      Omg how did you find my channel 😀 I eat them all the time. Not so much pasta though but bread. I shall admit that porridge or other types of cooked whole grains feels better but when I’m on the road I eat a lot of bread. But I generally have it with only lettuce and tomatoes and not with any nut butter because I eat so much of it. But when I’m home I prefer whole grains or porridge. If you have any questions I’m more than happy to answer them if I can.

      SoyBoy Thanks man! You have some of the best results I’ve seen from the vegan diet, and it’s especially impressive for your age. Which is why I ask! Do you still eat very low fat? I saw in one of your videos you ate over 4000 calories and you’re super lean. Do you still eat like that? What’s your body composition like these days?

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 4 роки тому

      I’m pretty much the same when it comes body composition. I’m not training nearly as much as I did due to my current job. I’m self employed now and I travel a lot. I try to keep my diet pretty strict during weekdays and a little more slack on weekends. Berries, greens, fruits and beans are superfoods. The more I eat of those the better my body looks. Yes I still eat relatively low fat. I always starts my morning with two glasses of water and a tablespoon of flaxseeds and chia seeds that I chew for a good 3-4 minutes. It’s actually taste pretty good when you get used to it. But it has to be 50% chia otherwise it gets to bitter. Other than that we might ad some coconut milk in some dishes. Walnuts a few everyday is something also includes and nut butters but I would be better of without them I guess. I pretty much feels when I need more calorie dens foods then I include more fat. IMO you remain lean if the majority of your calories come from WF carbs. Simple as that 😀

    Hey mads, whats your philosophy on fat loss? you got super shredded eating over 4000 calories. Was that due to the type of food you were eating do you think? Im kind of torn between the ideas of calorie restriction vs eating lots of clean plant foods for fat loss. Whenever I try to get in a calorie deficit my energy levels tank and I become weak and useless with poor sleep and digestion. Whats your take on this?

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 5 років тому

      Ordinary guy Hi there and thanks for asking me-;) I have been vegan for exactly 7 years now. And I have eating pretty much the same macro ratio the whole time. Perhaps I was a bit lower in protein the first two three years and therefore a bit higher in carbs. I would estimate my carb intake is around 70%. To be honest the only thing I concentrate on so many years in my(for life) vegan lifestyle is to eat as much whole food as possible. But honestly don’t see a massive change in appearance if I eat whole lot if bread as long as I don’t smear them with a lot of nut butters compared to porridge for example. My beliefs is that it is hard for a already lean person to gain fat on a carbohydrates rich diet because it’s like you probably already knows, an unnatural thing for the body to do. There might be a little bit different situation if you have stored body fat to get rid of. Then you might have to restrict your calorie intake somewhat. My advice would be as eat as much green foods and beans as you can. Personally I love those foods and eat them daily so for me there is no sacrifice. If there is anything I can help you with just let me know. Good luck to you 😀

    • @ordinaryguy815
      @ordinaryguy815 5 років тому

      SoyBoy Thanks for the response. So you do think calories matter? Im already somewhat lean 80kg 178cm, a lot of muscles because I used to do bodybuilding. What do you think of this sample day of eating for fat loss? I want to get really ripped Morning: Tea and an apple Lunch: Wholegrain bread with light jam Dinner: Bulgur with beans and veggies Supper: Oatmeal with apple, raisins and almond butter comes down to about 2600 calories with the portion sizes I eat. I dont do alot of exercise these days. How many calories do you think you eat on a sedentary day? As you can hear its the whole calorie thing thats confusing to me

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 5 років тому

      Ordinary guy I eat the same whether I train or not. I do not train very much anymore due to I’m self employed since four years and pretty much work 10-12hours/day. If you wanna increase your metabolism I do not think it’s a good idea to skip breakfast. I would eat most of my calories early on in the day and less in the evening. I would have one of my meals as a big salad it will fill you up with a lot of fiber and water. Purely from a weight loss perspective I would keep the fat as low as possible. Probably not the healthiest choice long term but for maximum weight loss it probably are. I do not know your age but I’m 51 and my metabolism is like a 20 year old. This is not only a good thing. High metabolism equals rapid aging. It’s a nice thing to eat as much as you like though without gaining weight but I try to think about it a bit more now than I did before. If I were you I would eat a lot of fruits in the morning and whole grains and beans and veggies for lunch. And then the salad in the evening with beans of course. That will make you loose weight if you keep it clean like that.

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 6 років тому

      ape in a dreamscape No. I was influenced that he more I ate the better it was back then. There is no truth in that. Eating more than you need is a good way if you want to age fast. If you think about it the body is in constant face of processing calories and has less time to heal itself. Eat till you full. Some days you eating more than other it’s nothing to worry about. I’m still a big eater but I’m not trying to eat more than that I’m full.

      I’m on my seventh year fully whole food plant based and still lean. As long as I center most of my diet around Whole Foods it works for me. Since lack of time I haven’t had opportunity to work out more than once or twice per week last couple of years. Doesn’t seem to have much affection on my body fat. I eat as much as I like every single meal the only thing that I think about when it comes to eating is to not go bananas with my fat intake. With that said I do eat nut and seeds and peanut butter daily. I hope that helps you:-)

    wear black eye mask. put in ear plugs. put tv on to fuzzy channel for white noise to block out other noises. cover windows with blankets to make it as dark as possible. lock door and windows. have water next to bed. adjust room temp to your preference. if u want anything ask the hotel for it. Make yourself comfortable Preferably go to sleep when it gets dark and wake up when the sun comes up. 2hours before u want to sleep, lay in bed, laugh, smile. An hour before u want to sleep, lay in bed in pitch black silence(or white noise). After you wake up, open window curtain to let sun in, eat breakfast then exercise 1+hour(preferably outside in fresh air and sun). Eat something yummy, like your fav fruit, before bed (then clean your mouth before bed) Before u sleep, think nice thoughts/how u want the world to be, listen to music, think about what you want to do tomorrow. Sleep so you can have nice dreams and have energy to do what u want to do tomorrow. I hope you're able to sleep well. :D. If you still have problem, think what is causing it and try to fix it. You can also ask me for more tips. :D thanks for eating vegan diet :D

      Hi Nikki! The good thing with a low fat vegan diet is that you can eat a whole lot of Foods without gaining weight, atleast that how it works for me. I started to use cronometer just to se where I'm at calorie wise and it turned out that I'm eating approx 4000cal/day and this summer I haven't done any serious cardio and I still look pretty much the same. But the best with the whole thing is that it feels so good not to have to kill anything and at the same time eat the best and most tasting Foods on the planet in excess.

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 10 років тому

      Hi Castaway! I'm a full natty brah like Durianrider says:-) I do not use any supplements except for a b12 tablet that I'm not very consistent with. No protein powders or super Foods of any kind, nothing except for Clean vegan low fat, low sodium Foods. Bulk of my calories comes from fruit and startches. I aso eats legumes on a Daily basis. If you wan't to become more vascular google endothelial cells and nitric oxide and then you will understand what it is that makes the veins to dilute so they become more flexible and bigger when you train. Dr Esselstyn have some good things to say about that. .

      Mats The Vegan Gym Rat Thanks! One of the hardest hurdles I have come across when promoting Durianriders diet is the fact that many men complain that they don't want to be slim like DR. They want large muscles, like you have. I try to explain that it's the type of exercise, not the diet, that determines the physique. Would you be open to do a "What I Eat" thirty day video series like Durianrider did? Freelee did it too. I know it's a lot of work to organize to film yourself eating every single meal and doing every single workout, but, it would be an invaluable tool for so many men who shy away from veganism, esp. low protein. If you are not familiar with the format for the thirty day food/exercise vlog then you can look at Durianrider and Freelee's channel. They did a great job, I would duplicate that and just eat your own meals and do your own exercise for the video diary.

    • @Sojabönan
      @Sojabönan 10 років тому
