    This motivated me to get a hydrasynth deluxe. Thank you. I love it. When I try to control my wavestate with the Hydra, the wavestate goes out of tune and soon sounds hang - I have to turn off the wavestate. I think it's midi sending info but I just want it to play!! How do you set yours up to control the Wavestate? Cheers, Ric

      Thank you so much Rich. I haven't words. About midi, in thos video I don't use midi between both synths.. wavestate has here a sequence with latch, and hydrasynth is playing in live. I never connected both synths, but I have used keystep pro, MPC One, Deluge or MC707 sending midi to wavestate and never I had problems. I would say you, try to find all cc that hydrasynth is sending because it seems that some of CC is changing pitch or decimal or something like this. Really enjoy some of the timbres here, especially the arp, and the lead at 5:30. If I may offer some constructive feedback, the hihat definitely comes in too hard for an ambient track. Once all the elements are going by 6:00, the hihat fits in, but it's relatively abrasive when it enters. Some possible solutions are to put some attack on the ADSR, or filter out some of its lows or highs, or sweep it in slowly with a bandpass filter.

    I loved reading some of your replies to peoles questions. Im debating on getting this synth but the lack of a librarian annoys me. I hope this is fixed soon. Which other hardware do you own? Im mostly interested in this for the portability factor. But i really wanna know how deep I can get when programming sounds. I love to sound design and i love the idea of the many sound engines - i just cant tell the depth of what can be done on them. As mostly so far, videos are only showing pre made patches and not much in sound design. Almost rompler-esque so far! But 11 engine types, surely it would be capable of a vast variety of sounds (like microfreak) in that sense. Not too sure... 😔😔

      Thank you for your words mate. I love playing music and sharing my music, feelings a my humble knowledge with other people. About your doubts I understand them. You always will find in all devices the lack of some feature (sequencer, effects, modulation routes...) and of course I agree that roland sh 4d must improve and can improve. All depends if Roland want to take care about their products or they only want sell more nada more. What I feel with roland sh4d is that is very funny and in spite of some needed improvements you can use very easy and sounds great. MC707 for example is more capable, but making sounds here is a pain for my opinion. You must dig too much for obtain what you want. In Sh4d is more immediate.

    • @adsrsynth
      @adsrsynth Рік тому

      About other hardware yes, I have others grooveboxes, and synths. Roland sh4d is for me in the middle of one synth and one groovebox. The sound that you can obtain is not so powerful as you can obtain with hydrasynth for example. The effects are OK, but is not a reverb like a novation peak for example. I think that roland sd4h is very balanced. But you can find opinions from people that don't like this device..

The machine therefore has storage for 128 (totally independent) pattern. That‘s all. A song mode would allow you to create a list of pattern to play and other parameters in advance. @joanmarval Рік тому

      Thanks. Interesting question. I think that SH 4D has several things that make it great machine. First of all, and for me very important is the portability. You can play with it for hours with batteries. This give me much freedom for use it everywhere. Second is the workflow. You don't need press more of two buttons for access to all options. With all these knobs you can change everything. (For my opinion still needs some updates, like metronome, count in, can load your own wavetables, length for notes in sequence (you cannot put the length for duration). So, if you want to play one note or chord and the duration is more of one step, the synth refill as much steps as you press. The sound tie each step so you don't listen nothing strange, and it sound like only one long note but is not usual for me. And another thing important, you cannot save the project entirely, you must to save each part separately, tones,patterns...and is a little pain for me opinion). I hope Roland listen the community and can make some interesting and important upgrades. Is not a big machine, but even with this size you have keyboard (buttons) for play. 2 octaves, so is another plus very interesting and useful. Modulation matrix is not so powerful like novation peak or hydrasynth for example, but with so many font options I think that you can generate a lot of sounds. Effects are decent, and for example shimmer reverb well configured can be amazing reverb (I will try to upload one video with this). Maybe peak has best effects, but as I say you, enough if you use them well. Roland SH 4D has not entire zen core, but the variety is big. For me this synth is like Roland JD XI but muuuch more powerful. I hope that my comments can be helpful for you.

      Привет Максим!. Конечно!. Really peak has 8 voices, but what you are listening here is the same sound but in different octaves. With this, you can find the wave of lower sound like more... long (even seems with more attack but is only for this soundwave). And then, with the higher sound, you can listen more short and seem two different sounds. You can use this trick for multiply possibilities.
