If you don't find the presence of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit at church, you're in the wrong church. Period. If you're going to church because you're entertained, you're in the wrong church and your motivation is for the wrong reason. I go to church to commune with the Father Son and Holy Spirit and to pray and learn with my fellow parishioners. Church is not about me, it's about FSHS and communion with them. The Church was established by Christ himself for our benefit and what we receive there is essential "life giving" spiritual food. What church? The original "Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church". A Methodist church I went to had a Lady from the church call me and had me bake cookies at my own expense for the visiting bishop. I took the cookies to the church and was told I could not sit and have coffee and cookies with them. I left there feeling like a second class citizen.

I had to stop church. Being female, it is expected that you wear a dress to church. you have to look your best. This means the dress has to be a beautiful church dress. The more beautiful the dress is, the more love and faith you have for the lord. This, combined with having your hair done, make up, nails and the weekly tithe, was too expensive. It was neve good enough. I spent all week getting ready for church, but little time actually getting to know jesus, or reading the bible.

My wife is going to church with our kids, but I am not. I see that the Pastor is a phony who lives in a mansion. Now, the Pastor has convinced her that I am not a Believer and that she should divorce me. Just because I don't attend his church, does not make me a non-believer. It has become a very cult-like situation.

As long as you have faith, a relationship with God and turning away from sin then you are saved but a church cannot decide that only God can and he sees your heart no matter where you go. There are many people at church Praise Him at church twice a week but yet their heart is bitter, full of hate and pride! I witnessed it in my job many times where many churchgoers would treat us as if we were less than human like they're entitled and the world revolves around them! I did find a church that I like but if they start showing extreme red flags I have no problem with making my church at home.

My faith grew more and my life tended to improve (in some areas) when I stopped trying to "fit in" at the local churches in my area. Of course it's extremely painful, sad, lonely and discouraging not to have fellowship with other believers and my "being out of organized religion" really does reveal my weaknesses to myself. On January 2015 the Lord Himself commanded me to leave the church system and He was very clear in telling me: " do not go back to it ". I was very suprised but I obeyed. He has been my teacher directly since then. I have grown and matured in a way that it would never be possible in a four wall building church. Even with the supernatural and the authority we have in Jesus. It has been quite an adventure but, yes, it has costed a bunch of friends, brethren and now I'm the enemy some how .... but even so, the Lord also commanded me to not to hurt His church. Glory to God for His faithfullness !

I stopped going about seven years ago maybe a little more, I stopped because I would listen to the preacher and what he said didn’t line up with the scriptures. I was called to preach about 18 years ago and began to preach what scripture actually says and have been asked not to come back basically because they do t want to hear it, yet the entire time I was preaching their heads were nodding yes and amen was coming out of their mouths. I don’t get the chance to preach very often, I still have to work in my family because they are not totally on board with the truth. But they have started to come around. I believe God is calling you out because of the false teaching in the church today, you need to take the time to find the truth of scripture. I recommend you watch 119 ministries teaching titled the Pauline Paradox series and watch all eight videos.

I have listened to your 25 min presentation & NOT ONCE did you mention the version of the Bible you use or quote a single Biblical scripture to back up your argument! Very unfortunately died about 5 years ago aged 90 but most of his messages etc are available on UA-cam! Have never been back to church (by the way we are the Church, it's not a building (Colossians 1:24). Before the Cross does not belong to Christians! See Matthew 10:5-6, Matthew 15:24 & in Matthew 15:26 Jesus likens gentiles to dogs who eat the crumbs off the floor! You CANNOT MIX LAW WITH GRACE & the only reason Matthew, Mark & Luke are included as part of the New Testament is because of the birth of Christ. Unfortunately when we stop going to the building many of our “friends” stop talking to us. Yes many we meet think we are backslidden, or look down on us when we say we don’t go to church. The biggest thing I miss is Christian friends. The ones we have live too far away to give a call and meet up for dinner. We too have been a part of a few different denominations and the politics were discouraging. It’s SO sad.

I agree with what you are saying, I also left the church quite some time ago. I heard you say no one takes the time to explain what seems to be contradictions in scripture. You are correct they will not. Here is why because when you clear up the contradictions and you find the truth of scripture their entire denominational doctrine goes out the window. You talk about the tithe and how pastors make a lot of money. This is also a reason why the contradictions don’t get cleared up. One little verse in scripture will help you understand this ; The love of money is the root of ALL evil. Pastors would rather keep teaching a lie to hang on the their money because they know if they teach truth their congregation will leave and so will their money. Point in case your brother the missionary started preaching truth and they cut off his money. I can help you with the contradictions of scripture. The issue is what most (not all) churches teach. Things not found in the written Word of God... as written. Beliefs have changed since around the 3rd century man took over the Biblicall Faith and made a new religion out of it. Churches teach Jesus did away with God's Instructions, celebrate days and holidays Jesus and His Disciples never did. Also how man switched God's Sabbath to the venerable day of the sun Sunday. What is written in God's Word, most churches are 180 opposite what's written. Religion is not the Biblical Faith. It's not what acts lays out. Perhaps I've said too much.

I don’t go anymore. I focus on developing my personal relationship with Jesus. Dedicated myself to a church and they did not share my values about honoring Gods temple with food, for one thing. Pastor was a spiritually sick love tease who put all his sin on me. Congregation used me as a scapegoat even though they admitted he was wrong. So guess what? Best thing that ever happened to me. God used this to get me out of the building and into HIM!

Really got a lot out of this bro. Came to Christ only about 18 months ago, more recently than that started going to a church (again, for the first time since childhood). I lasted about 3 months before deciding I’ve seen enough, for many of the same reasons you outline. I felt like my connection to God was worsening inside of church culture. Am not doubting your love for the Lord or your grown in the word. I always share with my brother church doesn't save you or change your lifestyle. It's your relationship with Christ and reading the word of God. Now going to church and first desire the milk of God word as we grow in the Lord with the help of committed Christian to help the younger Christian. So your early walk with the Lord you recognize that help your in your walk with the Lord. Because it was not about themselves but others. Like Jesus said I came not to get feed but to feed others of serving others not himself. Sad to see you drifting from the church at the same time we recognize there is no perfect church for human is error so even when we go to other churches when we enter in we ourselves have made the church not perfect. With your experience it would benefit the other believer's to hear from you so they can grow from your experiences. The other part about sharing your experience and why you stop going to church may not hurt you, but your statement you have declare is doing more damage to the new believers cause they need a little help from a friend. I haven’t been to church in about 6 months. I had been secretly very uncomfortable with the rituals. Let’s all stand, lift your hands, time to sing and give God a clap offering. A little different than the type of church I grew up in but rituals all the same. Also, we tithe to our church, our church tithes to its mother church, the mother church tithes to its mother church and it all ends up in the 2 large churches that started it all in Tucson and Prescott. When you get laid off and need some help the church you tithe to gives you the number to Catholic charities. The weird thing that had me stumped is that I haven’t felt convicted at all for not going. I also wonder if this is why the Bible says mother will turn against daughter and so on because I know my family is going to freak out not because I’m not going but because I no longer believe in organized religion. I need to get a group together to study in our homes. 🙏🙏🙏

I stopped going a long time ago. I find Bible studies that help me grow with a deeper knowledge and love of Yahweh, Yeshua and Holy Spirit. I found some sermons were manipulative. In spite of that God showed up.
