Nah you need that tube. That mesh in that filter isn't there to keep it from crushing it's self

For your sequoia. Just buy a new oil filter housing. It'll come with the tube. You can also do the upgrade to the metal housing. Just make sure on the 3UR-FE you use the long tube. Running that sans tube is a bad idea... Tube is supposed to lock into the bottom of the housing.

Normally we would check the tank and fuel system. Take off the intake just to see. Never had a rat run out from under the hood though. Can’t stand what they do to a vehicle. Any fuel from probably the last 10 years is suspect. That’s normally how we would. What was wrong with it originally

I used to flip cheap cars. I did the body and interior. And my friend taught me the motor stuff together we flipped a lot of cars. And yes some were not even running. We fixed them and made profit. By luck it worked some did not. We bought cars and yes some were bad but no loss because junk yard will give money where I lived it 350 for 450 for junk cars. And yes when it was junk to us we salvaged most parts. To fix other cars. This kept us as a profit. Together me n my friend knew somehow what worked. Now me. I just fix my own vehicles. My friend moved away. Wish I still had his help for my vehicles

You can tell that van a 98 99 by the back lights it's not white it's orange so it doesn't have the revamp but I'm shocked that nobody bought that van over here in Ontario Canada that van would have been sold even with a blown engine or a transmission and you could have probably sold it for like 2000 bucks also toyota camry 93 to 98 before the change v6 will work on that van top tip

The guy that sold you that truck has no idea what he's doing, wow.. You got a deal. If it were me, I'd throw some of that Valvoline restore and protect in there, OEM weight and a filter, detail the truck up real good and drive it around to see if it smoothens out any and check everything else out(before driving) especially all other fluids and major components(brakes!) considering this thing had like next to no oil in it, so probably not very well maintained, which brings me to my next question- If you think there's minimal(Low) oil in it, why proceed to rev the engine up?? If you plan to put a new motor in it then so be it, but if it didn't need an engine before and it's low on oil yeah you'll need one soon..

Certainly not a knock. Drop the pan and open the oil filter to see what is going on, but you know this. Oil pump screen could be clogged. Like remodeling a bathroom, you never know what you will find until you remove the flooring :) LMK if its listed, need a teenager vehicle.
