Hi based on my projector BenQ HT-3550 (2000 Lumens) which screen would you choose?..... Projector is about 7 1/2 feet from screen, dark room.

i wish these manfactures would give us an option to turn off leds

When you watch 4k blu-rays and press the “playback info” button twice, does it show you the hdr info? Like rgb values and such. That’s literally all Ím looking for

Advice for those who want to find a player to use for their home theater: You should not choose Japanese brands like Panasonic or Sony or something like that, but you should choose reputable South Korean brands with better sound quality like Samsung or LG. Thanks.

I have the 420 in my 7.3.4 HT, and it (HT) is costly. I am running an 85" Samsung mini-led, Klipsch RP 8000, RP504C, and RP5000 speakers powered by Marantz AV7705, MM8077, and MM7055. This player looks and sounds fantastic! I was going to get the 9000 but decided it was not worth it since I will only use the HDMI anyway. Like you said, they have the same video processor, so I would spend 5 times as much on looks. I have a ton of 4K BR rips I play off my NAS, and if I take that same movie on Disc and use the 420, it blows them away in video, especially audio. The 420 is just a fantastic deal!

Twice you refer to the front vents as "front entry", they are not, they are EXHAUST vents where the hot air is exhausted. Could confuse some prospective buyers.

I have dual T9's in my system and consider these mandatory. An amplifier shouldn't get hotter than 86°.

can you give amazon canada links for the type of uk to canada/US plug adapter or power adapter. im looking to buy the 450 and i don't want to damage it by using the wrong adapter or power adapter. i need something that is going to 100% work to power the player.

I just brought the 420 for $80 open box never used from FB market. !🎉 Literally never used. My LGC3 is like GOKU… Ultra Colors are popping like never before!!! There’s definitely difference in streaming than having and reproducing the source at home. The GAMMA😱 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

I had a Panasonic dp-420 and it wouldn't read some of my discs even though they were in great condition

Masking + white screen = win. But masking is a lost art. You either DIY or pay out the nose.

I bought Panasonic ub820 and it doesn't read my disc anymore. I keep my disc very clean and store them back in there case. I'm very disappointed and angry I paid $500 for the Panasonic ub820. My Panasonic ub420 plays flawlessly no problems!!

Thinking to buy the 820 with Dolby Vision, since my project supports Dolby Vision. Had the UB9000 a few years ago. Great player and build like a tank, but since I am not a big collector of movies I can settle with the 820.

I see your video was 3 years ago but glad I saw it, my brother is giving his Arcam avr300 which he had in the attic for some years now, I was thinking of replacing my Onkyo tx nr686, I hope it will improve my sound quality also thinking of getting the Emotiva amp to go with it, thanks for sharing!

If I connect this model of player to my Onkyo via HDMI will receiver decode all audio? I am happy with movie sound from Xbox one to receiver but want a better 4 k picture experience without losing audio

I'm happy very with my Panasonic UB420 replace my xbox one x as 4k player I'm surprised the colors is rich and detail! Plus i don't need a dolby vision my JVC projector don't even have dolby vision also alot of 4k projector doesn't even have dolby. That reduced the license fees very SMART move by Panasonic.

As long 4k xbox players and ps5 physical media is here to stay. I love holding something instead of just invisible streaming. Also turntable came back because of physical.

Dolby vision aside, is there any marginal upgrade to the picture quality on the UB, 9000 versus the 420 I know. In terms of sound, it’s far superior, and wondering whether better components in the UB 9000 yield a slight improvement in visual performance?

Thank you for posting this video! I ordered a white screen, but haven’t opened it and I am thinking of returning it and getting the high contrast screen? This screen is a little bit darker than the gray; do you think that will produce an even more vibrant image with contrast?

Hey man! Thank you so much for such a great review video! I have a quick question for you. I have had a Sony ubp-x700m for about a year and a half. It is quit working. Will only read DVDs. Will not read regular Blu-ray discs or 4K discs anymore. It is on the latest firmware. I am ready to replace it. I have looked at the Sony X800M2 or the Panasonic ubp-420. After a few years of owning it, would you still recommend the Panasonic? It just seems like such a great player.

Hey there, I hear projecter alot when people are reviewing the 420. I have a QD OLED that is only capable of HDR10+ and was looking at this player. Is it fine for an oled in your opinion?

I’ve been using a tripod screen for years but I finally got a grey screen and am just surfing UA-cam to see what others think so I can back out before it ships and I’m infinitely more excited now.

Does it ever shut completely off? Like if your AVR is off, what is the fan unit doing? Thanks

I don't know if this channel is still active, but to the OP if still active and if this video is still relevant: when you get "mixed results" from DIRAC, are you referring to anything specific regarding frequencies? For example, do you notice that the bass or treble or mid-range specifically sounds worse or better?
