There’s also a TON of system inaccuracies in this aircraft. Can’t even do a step climb because the VNAV isn’t modeled correctly. Why TFDi? You gave this airplane to the public as a public beta, and no one complained about VNAV not functioning as it should on long hauls? I find that really hard to believe. Be honest with yourselves here, MSFS isn’t a “simulator”, it’s a game. Always will be. These aircraft can never be study level because the physics are absolute crap. Stop lying to yourself by saying the TFDi is realistic, it gets some things right, but it is inferior to the Rotate MD-11 for X-Plane. If you really want a good MD-11 experience, buy X-Plane if you don’t have it, buy the Rotate MD-11, and get some plugins (Better Pushback, Avitab, AutoDGS) Better physics and far better systems. The TFDi is an overpriced toy. The Rotate is a perfectly priced quality simulation. If I’m being honest, it seems like they just pulled the avionics from the 717, made a new 3D model added some more systems (poorly) and called it good. What an absolute joke of an airplane. I absolutely love the MD-11. It’s all I fly (Rotate MD-11). I’ve actually started studying the systems in depth and I can say that the TFDi doesn’t live up to the expectations I wanted from them. The first time I flew it, I hated it. And I love the MD-11, but I hated how the TFDi flew. Won’t be wasting my time with it anymore. Sorry if this comment offended some people, but it’s my opinion. TFDi really disappointed me.

Dam for $70USD, which is $118 in my currency is a lot to spend for those textures. I don't have the aircraft but I won't be buying it based on those textures showen in this video. Thanks for the heads up.

Love your videos. Very engaging. How are you able to capture the reverse thrusters on the engines opening when showing a flyby landing? My replay recorders won't capture them in drone perspective. Only on external cameras. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It IS rough because they refused my help! and instead, gave it to their mates to play with. I was a beta tester for PMDG and Bill Grabowski's development. PMDG was spot on and It was a shame that they never followed up with all the Prepared 3D versions as their versions were the best and for a long, long while I was simming it.

Its WAY overpriced for $80. Some are saying that there arent issue with it, but there are. I posted on their discord and some started saying there were no issues, bit only a couple defended and said the issues I am having were well known and did exist. There are way better planes for less.

iniBuilds a300 is better for WAY less. PMDG is WAY better for less. Fenix is WAY better for less. TFDi is disappointing to say the least. Im sure your vid will get hate from the fanboys and tfdi team members, but you arent wrong. And video shows it

Its definitely overpriced. It now sits in my hanger because it has issues that make it unreliable and unflyable. Back to the a300 for me. They said it took so long because they wanted it right before they released it, and its a mess. Terrible for the price. I didnt even ask for a refund, but permission to give it to someone else…..they threw a fit on discord. Started posting contract statements etc etc. 🙄

Im not happy that the plane has system issue that can make it impossible to fly. The stab trim continually increases while in auto pilot, ultimately causing the spd to decline, then speed protection to kick in which ends in a nose dive and AP disconnects. Ive turned off hardware over ride etc. Its $80 and has some good things, but also some poor graphics and poor flight handling. I do a lot of chores to make that much money to buy a plane that I cant fly 😭

I agree, for 80 you should at least get a decent aircraft, but on this one, as well as some other aircraft, I noticed that on the exterior model, the GEAR/WHEEL animation is not modelled realisticially: wheels staying flat/level on the ground on takeoff just before liftoff , and landing when the gear hits the ground.. Here the gear/wheels just stay the same angle as the fuselage at any time.. this is what we had in FS98🙈 PMDG gets this right for instance on their 777, wheels stay flat on the ground before liftoff and on touchdown...

I feel the same way. Although the language may be a bit strong, essentially what you stated is absolutely correct. This release unfortunately backfired on the developer. All technical issues can be fixed given enough time, but a tarnished reputation could be very difficult to recover. All the best.

In short, I absolutely agree. This price point is ludicrous. The texture is crap. I fly in VR and looking at some of the textures up close is so low res. Folks who support this release are obviously ones who waited around for this and don’t want to regret time and money wasted. The cockpit is so horrible and dirty. This is simply not an $80 product.

I am no fan of TFDI let alone some of the collection edition owners... But even I'm calling BS on this. You're using textures that have been known since even before release weren't correct because the model was updated. They have been very transparent on things they were going to fix, yet another lie from you saying that they don't care. Your level of misrepresentation is pretty astonishing and impressive at the same time. The only entertaining part of this whole video is wondering how hard you've been ratio'd on the dislikes. If you're going to review something, at least try to be honest. You actually tell us that our opinions are just our opinions, get your throwing your falsely based opinion out trying to sway people. I will eat crow and admit got a lot of my assumptions of what the airplane would be were completely wrong.
