Nope, n o other voice like Freddie’s. Once in a lifetime, if that. Might I suggest YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY, Hyde Park, live 1976. Oh, and Freddie loved vodka, and class. It could have been a martini, maybe just for show.

Difficult to choose a favourite, as there are so many exemplary live Queen performances. However, 'Save Me' live at Montreal 1981 is a stand out for me. Overall, 'Liar' and 'Son & Daughter' hover at the top of my list. #fave

Oh YES - this is the song that literally thrust me into QUEEN in the early 1970s (a long time ago - yes I'm old!) and I have never swayed from loving this band. This is yet one more song composed by the brilliant Sir Brian May (guitar) and brought to life by the entire band and, of course, Freddie's insanely fantastic vocals. CAPTIVATING!! It's almost impossible to pick a favorite song - but, from this early time period in their 20+ year career, I choose "Liar" - LIVE at the Rainbow, 1974 - #fav. I chose this because it shows off the musicianship of the entire band when performing LIVE - pure, passionate, unmatchable talent! I have at least 50 more suggestions from later on in their career so keep asking me and I'll keep telling you! Your reactions are GREAT!

It hadn't been recorded yet, it was just Freddie and his piano, putting his heart and emtion alone on the stage with an audience of over 100k. Something a little different is "Dreamer's Ball" live in Paris 1979. For a beautiful demonstration of Brian's guitar skill, " Bijou" from the Innuendo album. All the songs they wrote for the Highlander,Obie are awesome. Watching the movie puts them more into context, but it’s about an immortal being not wanting to belong with the other “gods”…I don’t remember the whole storyline, but…you get the drift. This live at Wesley is fantastic!!

I love this performance of White Queen. Freddie does things with his voice differently, depending on how he’s feeling, and here…I feel the words and songmore too! This song was written by Roger for the Queen soundtrack for the movie Highlander. This might be my favorite Queen song written by Roger though I really like a lot of his solo stuff, too. People who are successful are not any better than anyone else, they just never gave up on their dream.

They did this performance in front of 300,000 to 500,000 non English speaking people. Freddie and Brian got emotional because they didn’t think anyone would understand them yet they sang most of the song to Freddie and Brian in perfect English.

I am glad that you enjoyed this video …….I really liked your positive reaction about humble beginnings to getting better in life. But I sometimes find that the videos can distract from the vocals and lyrics of the song….. I do wish that you would react to the live performances of this song in Wembley 1986…. Roger Taylor wrote this and Don't Loose Your Head Freddie wrote Princes of the Universe, John wrote One Year of Love, Brian wrote Who wants to live Forever and Gimme the Prize It is about Immortals through the centuries, who must kill each other until there is only one. It was also a television series for a few years.

You have to watch them live they become so much better. Freddie was told not to perform that day as he was having problems with his throat, they had just come back from a hard tour of south America. The only way I could tell was the fact that Roger the drummer took the high notes on champions, this often occurred at concerts after he had been singing for 2 hours. They were so locked in with each other any changes were not noticed. 😊😊

This is the way. ❤ I was a wee lass when this aired, and sadly it wasn’t until the appearance of YT that I was finally able to witness this unforgettable moment in time. I’d been an instant die-hard Queen fan from 6 years old, but only through the introduction of my Dad’s love of what is now considered Classic Rock, the 70s gracing us with the masterful sound of Queen. Had my Mom actually been ok to let me watch this as it aired, maybe I could’ve gotten acquainted with them a year earlier. 🤷‍♀️ Every single time I watch this live set, I send out a dozen kisses and constantly get goosebumps throughout the performance. They never fail to impress. Brian May was Born to play that guitar 🎸 just as Freddie Mercury was born to effortlessly make the world for years to come fall in love with that Iconic voice of his. 🙂‍↔️❤
