Situated on a rapidly developing street surrounded by eateries and commercial establishments, this office occupies the ground floor of a residential building. To maximize utility, a basement and a mezzanine floor were incorporated during construction. The design philosophy centered on fostering a natural, open atmosphere, maintaining privacy from the vibrant street, minimizing indoor noise, enhancing natural light and ventilation, reducing dependence on artificial air-conditioning, and offering versatile workspaces.
The entryway, marked by a four-shutter door, leads into a serene foyer featuring a bio pond, which acts as a natural noise buffer and introduces a soothing water element into the space. The mezzanine workspace is open and flooded with natural light, promoting a sense of community and equality among staff members. The design seamlessly merges with the outdoor greenery, creating a flexible space that accommodates both focused work and relaxation.
Interactive and formal meeting areas are strategically positioned below, offering functionality and privacy. Features like a sliding glass door provide separation, while clerestory windows ensure the influx of natural light. The material palette-featuring terrazzo, polished concrete, coconut wood planks, and other natural finishes-evokes a modern yet organic aesthetic, blending contemporary design sensibilities with the timeless appeal of natural elements.
