ICELAND EXPEDITION MINI SERIES - DAY 11-14 SCENIC LANDSCAPE AND SANDY ROADS
EPISODE 7 IS HERE!
After several days in each other dust clouds, we started off by cleaning the air filters. Some had it worse than others!
From camp in Drekagil we began by exploring Holuhraun. This day was particularly warm and while on the black sand our cars showed 38 degrees temperatures outside. Therefore, after driving for some time in the area - the guys went for a quick dip in the river if you even can call it that. Half of their body submerged - but absolutely needed because of the heat (also to wash off some dust).
We made camp at Sigurðarskáli with good food and a pretty sunset and the next morning we started our day with a small ranger walk by the glacier. These walks are usually free and a great way to learn about the area you are in.
As we are coming to the end of the 2 weeks with our friends, we started to make our way out of the highlands and found a few detours and fun roads going back. We ended up in
Möðrudalur on the camp site where we had a very good dinner and saw some arctic foxes to top the night off.
The last day we stopped by Sænautasel, a small old farm, where we had delicious pancakes for breakfast. We wandered around the old farm, and you can even go inside the very old farmhouse. Highly recommended pit stop if you are in the area (open during summer from mid June). We then moved on out of the highlands and to Stuðlagil for our last official stop - a beautiful canyon with turquoise water. Our friends are now heading home, and we will be alone the next couple of weeks.
Until next time! Please share, like and subscribe. It is very much apprechiated!!

With a tall truck measuring 2,5 meter before the roof top tent, setting up and packing down was tricky at start. EPISDE 6 IS HERE! Starting off in Laugafell we made our way north as 3 of the first cars this season as the road just opened that very morning. A road we are very familiar with, but was looking more beautiful than ever early on in the season. Then headed to Mývatn for some typical tourist spots and to dip in Mývatn Nature Baths, one of our favourite commerical lagoons. Next step was a tricky ro...

I love these drone shots when the drone stands still and you drive under it. Eoic!! 🔥🔥🔥
so cool ...
Tecnología para hacer algo.interesante
I have the same setup with the medium Space and awning. Adding the tunnel really helped give a feeling of extra space inside as well as privacy and protection from the elements. Looking to get the XL Space next; it’s so much bigger.
That's awesome! The XL Space will be a great upgrade, so much room to stretch out! 😃
That's great, we have the tunnel also but not had the time to put it on yet. You will defiantly love the xl tent.
I just stumbled upon your channel. In the winter when it snows, do you run the same all terrain tyres or do you have winter specific tyres for snow and icy roads? Icy/snow compacted roads is the scary stuff, but is that a problem?
We have the same tires with studs in them. It works quite good.
Perfect timing as I picked up my space xl yesterday. Good tip on leaving the legs locked while pulling down the front. Gonna try that next time 👌
Enjoy your new setup! 😊
Didn't realise it had that opening in the awning when I saw it in person, that's a great feature. The tent looks great as well!
Very nice choice of tracks in episodes 5+6 - good to escape the crowds;)
Wow fantastic Keep on the good work!!
For ett landskap 🤩 Redskapene i sitt rette element her 💪
Amazing nature, and the driving seems to be technical and fun😅
Damn, those drone shots were just awesome. The landscape looks out of this world.
absolutely amazing!
หน้าสนุกจัง
Очень красивое место так же как у нас на кавказе ❤одни эмоций
With each of your videos, I am convinced that I have to go there someday!! Some day for sure!! 🔥🔥🔥
Did you freeze your little brain? You stole an tire ad, and, without any modification, no voice over, not anything, try to tell us this is your content? Why not steal a bread and tell us you're a baker? Pathetic lazy cretin.
who did they steal from?
@@johannidn The Manufacturer?
It's awesome to see just how different the terrain can be, and still it's all just breathtaking.
Hi Do you interested in adding a switch panel or LED upgrade or a switch panel to your rig? We hope to do some sponsorship with you!
Amazing footage. At 4:41 what section of road is that? Is it the F208, and if so, where exactly please? Thank you
Thank you!! This is road F210 on Mælifellsandur. The green mountain is Mælifell :)
Amazing views, great shots. Truly amazing!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks buddy! Hope you all are doing well, expecially Teti and the new extention to your family! <3
@@NorexOverland Thanks ❤️😁
The perfect video to watch with my morning coffee.. That place looks absolutely epic definitely on my list of places to visit..
We truly apprechiate your feedback, thank you! Hope you make it here some day, it is a beautiful country to visit!
@@NorexOverland looking forward to day 5-7 which I’ll be watching in an hour or so..
The scenery is simply jaw dropping, I'm lost for words. No wonder you like Iceland as much as you do! Also, once again a great little film, keep 'em coming for us poor people not on Iceland!
Right? It is why we keep coming back! Beauty around every corner, behind every piece of rock. Glad to hear you like them, a new one is out now :D
📖📖📖🗺
Have a great journey ...!
Thank you so much <3
Awesome video. 👍
Thank you! We really apprechiate it 🙌
Looks like an amazing experience already, looking forward to seeing more of it!
Thanks buddy! We have covered so much ground and roads not commonly traveled and are only half way through. New episode is coming up now from day 2-4! Hope you will like it 🤩
Nice walkthrough! Love that monster of a rig ❤
nice tour arround your truck. The Tire sice is that impressive ;-) Sad that 33" is the Max in swizerland für Hilux
Thank you, well we are jealous on your camper;) Maybe you can bring some friends and join our expo in Norway next summer? Would be nice to meet you. facebook.com/share/Jn36hy2GbG9vfuqU/
@@NorexOverland Great Idea. We will take alook if it fits in our scedule. Only for the weeckend it is abit to far ;-)
Awesome 😎👍
Thanks buddy! 🤩
Great walk-around of a cool rig. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks:)
Cool rig, I totally love Arctic Trucks Hilux’s so cool.. I drive an 80 series Land Cruiser at the moment but if I didn’t I’d definitely have an AT37 in a heartbeat..
Thanks mate! We love it too, but do certanly miss a Land Cruiser.!! The 80 series is such a beauty as well!! Ultimately we would have a Land Cruiser and the Hilux, but now we have 2 Hiluxes - mostly for practical reasons.. I (iiris) hope to have a 75/80 Troopy once this lifetime, then I will be content and happy.
@@NorexOverland love it
Great video of an awesome rig! Looking forward to the next one, maybe I'll learn a thing or two to keep me from packing everything I own for a weekend trip!
Thank you! That means a lot! Cannot promise anything there, but hopefully we can pack reasonably light! I hope we have learned a thing or two from earlier trips, but with the size of the Peak Polar UniCap box it is so easy to feel you have forgotten something because it so spaceous! In fact, the only things we have not packed in the video is a spare tyre. kitchen box and our clothing, but before you know if we have packed our cat, couch and kayaks 😂
Oh, the music!
Cant wait!
Westjet Calgary 🇨🇦 has now direct flights to Reykjavík and we are debating if we should go in August possibly.
August is amazing for Iceland! F-roads are still open if you can spend money on a decent rental allowed on those roads, that is where the beauty and fun is anyways in our opinion. Beautiful roads in the very intereor of the Icelandic Highlands is something else!
@@NorexOverland Good to know thanks 👍🏻
Great stuff! Already looking forward to the next episode 👍
Thanks Edgar! We appreciate that! It has been a good learning experience making this first video of this kind.
Just subscribed after talking to you guys on IG! Cant wait to see this series!
Hey there! Awesome you made it over to our UA-cam as well! Thank you 🤩
Fantastic! Cant wait for part two! 🤩🤩
Thank you, Arne!! That means a lot coming from you! 🤩
Nicely done, excited for part two!
We apprechiate that, first time making something like this for us! Thank you!
Awesome, looking forward to the next ones!
Thanks for watching buddy! It will be released in a few weeks and then we slowly built up intensity before Iceland <3
nice Job 🙂can't wait to see more Iceland inspiration from you
Thanks buddy! We have already started to film the next one and starting to be a little more comfortable with filming and speaking on camera! A good build up before the new footage from iceland comes :)

@@Wolf78Overland Good points! We realise it was a little low and will keep it in mind next time :) Thank you for the feedback <3
Amazing, who is the GPS garmin? For nautic? Thanks great work
Yes. Old version. Better to get the new garmin thread
Hey. My girlfriend and me are going to Morocco this winter. I am looking for a gps tracker app for iPhone that can record the route wi take and memorize it. This will show us the same way back if we have to, or download other people's routes and go there. Would be nice if the users can live text about the track/adventure. Please hive me some hints! Regards Bente & Pelle
