Is it a mistake to buy a cheap harness,
Dont ruin it w an ls....no computers needed ! Its a classic. Just refurb the ol small block. Cheaper & ez to fix
@@johnwalker863 it’s currently a TBI 350 it has a computer in it already. But you are right. I should just freshen up the bottom end. I blew a head gasket last year. Rebuilt the heads. Now I have very low oil pressure when it’s hot at idle.

@@themustache926 that is a fact, they were steel wheels. I had them off to sand and paint them.
Beautiful K5!!! I have a 78 K5 that I've done the ORD springs and Crossover steering. I do a lot of offroading, so suspension flex/travel is sort of important. Overall pretty happy, but the crossover steering has added lateral forces to the leaf springs and I can see/hear the front axle pushing side to side when turning the steering wheel. I thought a panhard bar would be a good solution, but Steven Watson at ORD told me a panhard setup doesn't work well with leafs because as the leaf pack expands/compresses, it moves in an arch. Not straight up and down. That causes binding in the suspension. Have you noticed any issues in that regard? Your truck is beautiful, so I know you aren't taking it offroad. That's the difference I'm sure.
@@matthewrusch477 I haven’t noticed any issues. It is a mall crawler pavement princess. What I have noticed is body sway with no sway bar. Using the soft spring packs from ORD. I think if I still had rough Country, I wouldn’t have the body sway. but I wouldn’t have the smooth ride.
@@205_bowties I have the ORD front sway bar and I still get a good bit of body sway with those soft springs. I guess thats the trade off with those springs. I had a rough country lift before as well and it would rattle my teeth out offroad. Night and day difference with the new springs. Looks like we have the same Bilstein extended shocks as well. I thought about trying some custom valved Fox shocks, but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. Keep up the good work on the Blazer!!!
@ i’ll take this soft ride and body sway over the jarring rough country springs. Thank you. Keep blazing.

I like your truck! I just got a K10 I'm debating on how big of the wheels and tiers i should go. why did you decide to switch your rims to the 10-inch wide and what size tires are you putting on it! Also you have a lift?
@@Gambit8121-i7v thank you, the reasons for the changes. I wanted to be able to pull in my garage. I had around 6” of lift with ORD springs. And 2” blocks in the rear. Removed the blocks in the rear and changed up the front to lower it 2”. I stayed with 35x13.50 tires. Had to change the offset. After lowering the front down I was scrubbing the fenders. So that the reason for the 10 wide wheels.

With a truck like that you’re already living most of our dreams
@@Skyler-si3hm thank you, it was always a dream for me. I found the truck in someone’s back yard left to rot away. I brought it back to life.
I have PSC hydraulic steering and the crossover high steer on my Chevota Fj40. It is great off road, but a bit harder to manage on the highway. If your Blazer is not being used for heavy articulation off road driving, is the crossover steering really necessary? If your current steering box is set up correctly and your Blazer drives good on the highway, is there any reason for you to go with crossover steering? I have a K5 Blazer with factory steering and a 6" Skyjacker lift that I do not four wheel. I was thinking about doing the crossover, but not convinced it is really necessary since I do not do any heavy off road articulation. If you do the Crossover, you may want to reinforce your frame where the steering gearbox is mounted.
You have to rotate the tires often on a dually. Looks good 😎
@@russpeaknuckel9525 I think I can only rotate 4 of the 6. My inner wheels are flat face for the tuck set up. I haven’t had to rotate them yet. Maybe 3-5k on them
Are you gonna make a stroker by boring it over a little? Or something else. Im interesting to know what's being machined
