    As a diesel mechanic wanting to be a tmc truck driver and working on his CDL, they won’t allow you to try and fix your truck as per company policy to get back on the road?

    • @EruditeTrucker
      @EruditeTrucker День тому

      Someone mentioned to me that the company may authorize you to do that if you're a certified diesel mechanic that they've approved and authorized the repair. I would definitely check with HR and the road repair department for verification on that to be certain.

    Facts I had a trainer at Navajo 15 years when I first started driving he took me there just to show me how bad it was. Long story short we kept getting stuck at low bridges needing cops to help us turn around in manhattan, his leg was shaking on the clutch and he was crying a little smh. Does TMC force u to go to NYC.? And can you give me a rough estimate of what I would make a week if I came with yall and stayed out 4-5 weeks every time before I went home.? Thanks again for the great content. If I come after winter’s over I’m definitely using you as a reference my guy , u give alotta good game on your channel 🫡

      New York City is one of the worst places to drive a full sized semi in the entire country. You definitely need to know where you're going or have exact directions on how to properly get to your destination and back out. The company doesn't force dispatch, but they do have loads that pickup near and deliver within NYC. I can't accurately give you an estimate of what you would make. There are WAY too many variables that will influence that. Five different drivers from the same area could make five different amounts while they're out based on where they run, their dispatcher, what they haul, how they run their clocks, etc.

    Or just load the load right and you won't have to worry about it. You have spread axles so you can do 40k on your trailer. And you only had 33k... so you have 7k more on your trailer. I would of had like S11,680, D31,600 and T35,300. You need to find center load on that trailer

    This is too funny, I was at these same places this week. The first was that one in Lafayette Indiana then that Insulation place. Unfortunately for me I broke down in Chicago on the Dan Ryan Expressway in Rush hour. My Truck got towed to a Dealership and they replaced my bad Throttle Body today. I'm parked about 55 miles from the consignee that takes delivery at 9am. This was my first break down and I'm originally from the Chicago area. It went smoother than I thought it would. I'm probably going to get home late myself. Thanks for making these videos.

      Chicago is a wild place for traffic. I try to avoid that area whenever I can. 😅 Glad that you were able to get towed out of there. I imagine that it took a while for a wrecker to get out there to you.

    TMC Rollin Deep on this one.. Sucks you had to wait, but good to see our Detention Dept is on top of things. And you're correct, TMC is $100 a Load w/Hazmat that gets a clean DOT Inspection per inspection. I have my X endorsement, so I asked that exact question in Orientation couple weeks back. if you can get multiple $100 on same load and they said yes you can. Easy way to rack up a few extra dollars.
