    If you're a man, don't even think about moving to Boston unless you prefer overweight, aesthetically challenged delusional '10s' with tattoos, blue hair, piercings ... or, jacked crossfit bro-ettes with arms bigger than your legs. Otherwise, by all means, come kiss your dating life goodbye. I'm from Boston and I've lived in several U.S. and European cities. This is by far the worst city for men, period. Unfortunately, personal and family circumstances have brought me back each time. The fact that I leave after each stay should tell you just how bad it is. Ask any native single Bostonian who's living in any other good city (NYC, Miami, Chicago, Montreal, etc.) and see if he's dying to move back to Boston. Never left Boston? Go spend a month in Prague, Montreal, or Stockholm and see what you've been missing. The average woman in those cities is an actual 10 in Boston, not a 3 who has convinced herself she's a 10. And, because she's average there, she's actually nice! Imagine that, attractive and nice. That's b/c she actually knows what a 10 really looks like. She's confronted with it every day. Competition is a good thing. I know that's hard to imagine for Boston guys. She may even be quite accomplished professionally, but she won't feel the need to brag about it.

      @ Boston did not really embrace cultural diversity, it least for Blacks when I lived there, 1994-1997. Academic research is the best, but I couldn’t wait to leave, once my research was completed. It felt worse than Mississippi

    I live in NYC. Traffic is often terrible and parking a pain. However, the only times I've nearly been killed by a driver were in the Boston area Guy turning left as I was on the crosswalk actually swerved to (nearly) hit me as I was carrying luggage. Another guy slowed and then sped up turning towards me, screaming at me for making him slow down. Yield right of way to pedestrians? Nah

    Came back to visit after living here 40 years ago. It seems like it’s gotten too crowded. Traffic was bad then, worse now. Sucks the life outta you. It’s true about dark winters. That’s the northeast in general. Even 40 years ago, I witnessed a young guy literally drop an empty six pack of glass bottles off the 4th level off the aquarium parking ramp. Why? Otherwise it’s a great area of the country. We made the right choice to leave.

      @@cortappel6951 yes olive oil is a staple to the Italian diet and has been for YEARS. It’s the main oil. I don’t know how often they really use vegetable oil. The key is that Italians have great control on portions and really have set eating times that they don’t really stray from (aka they are not eating snacks throughout the day). They also walk a lot

    Not only Boston but Massachusetts as a State is great. It is small that you can drive anywhere in the State in less than 3 hours, and it has a great variety of places. For example, now in September and October, Salem is the best place to be (although traffic is a bitch). You can also got to the Berkshires, Cape Cod, Gloucester and Rockport, and plenty of golf courses and parks.

    Boston is a wonderful city. Lived here all my life. But let me point out some downsides as a lifetime resident. Boston is an EXTREMELY expensive city. They are allowing gentrification throughout the surrounding cities and screwing the poor. Forcing them to leave. The issue at hand is low income people cannot afford to move to the suburbs because you need a car to live there. So f the poor let them suffer and move in the middle and upper class. I 💯 disagree with. D0chebag Healy has admitted that these illegal aliens are costing the state 1 BILLION dollars a year. Which we cannot afford. All while screwing lifelong citizens to leave or be homeless. Not cool. Sorry, not sorry for the wakeup call. You probably don't give a rats a$$ because you're not a person living under the federal poverty guidelines. Ok bye.

    Boston driving is absurd. I genuinely believe the city has created the situation though because the entire rest of MA has a much more mellow culture even if Massholes are everywhere. Literally never seen a cop pull people over in the city for any of the insane shit people do. NOBODY pulls over for ambulances on the highway until they are getting tailgated by ems. The whole speeding up on yellows is almost necessary on some routes because of how poorly engineered the lights and roads are to create insane bottlenecks. I sat at a red light one time behind a sheriff deputy while 3 very drunk/high dudes got in a fight with a homeless man. They threw rocks at him never hitting the guy but nailing one car and hitting the business on the corner. These dudes just stumbled off laughing with one of them projectile vomiting in the street and the cop just chilled

  • @JonFinnguitar
    @JonFinnguitar 3 місяці тому

    I respectfully disagree with so many points you make here. People aren't rude here. We just tend not to engage a lot in small-talk. It can be seen as rude if you're not used to it. Further, if you're in trouble and ask for help, you'll get it. It's true that Boston driving habits are different. Two skills to master: 1) The "Massachusetts Left" (where you turn left at a traffic light before the oncoming traffic gets there). 2) Take nothing personally. People are just trying to get to where they're going despite a million obstacles. Watch and learn from the cab drivers, and remember the golden rule of Boston driving: "Me first"
