Terry Reid - Seed of Memory - live at the jazz cafe 2023
One legendary gentleman. He’s made some of the most emotional and heavy-hitting music I’ve ever heard, as well. I’ve also heard that he’s one of the kindest and most humble men you’d ever meet. Bless you, Terry Reid. ❤
I've only known of Terry for a couple of years and had the pleasure of seeing him perform in Exeter last week . It was one of the most emotive and heartfelt performances I've ever seen ,and Ive been to many gigs. Artists like Terry are a force to be reckoned with. It's real and you can hear it in his songs and the words and that voice ! He's so down to earth too . A real artist and gentlemen! .
His body my age, but what's really important is his spirit is ageless.......peace
I was shocked at how Terry has aged since last I saw him in 1973. Then saw myself in the mirror and realised how time has ravaged us both...and yet...the music... and the vibe...are ageless!
I wish I hadn't have seen this.
Sorry terry not a fan . Wish you the best worst guitar tone I ever heard. Good luck. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Phenomenal! What a talent! Thanks for posting this!
This is the epitome of rock! Great song! We oldsters sure know how to rock it!! Lol
I'm high as a kite and low as a snails nuts all at the same time. Thank you Terry.
His music is so indepth so moving. Far ahead of his time. Very wonderful. God bless you all. Love Bill.
I'm a new fan. I've missed out
He's AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩🤩❤❤❤❤
God bless you!!!!!
Every couple years I find a new video of the legend Terry Reid, and man I still can’t believe he still has it after all these years, really incredible. I’ve always loved his voice before and now
So fucking good 🎶 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻
I was on the radio in Charlotte NC in the mid 70’s. I played Terry all the time. Our audience loved him but he never got traction in other markets. His record company completely dropped the ball. They really never worked it. Very sad. He deserved a big audience.
Is that a Jazzmaster?
👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
It’s so strange to see him at this age. He’s obviously lost some of that incredible, mesmerizing voice, but the song still sounds great. I admire that he’s out there performing. Still, this gives me such a bittersweet feeling.
Thank you for putting how I feel into words .... Wish I'd seen him in his prime ❤
Terry just floors me everytime i hear him. he writes brilliant songs and delivers them with such honesty, integritiy and passion. His sincerity comes through as a performer and a human being as one in the same. God bless you
So nice
So glad I got to see Terry live and talk to him for quite a while after his set. For me the best vocalist ever in his pomp and still better than most at this age. And I love his lazy half assed guitar style.
The mid-song plug! Haha gotta love it!! Was going to see him last week in NY, but the shows got cancelled. Hoping he re-schedules soon
Terry Reid = GENIUS.
I remember when my dad busted this out of his vinyl and said listen carefully son. In 86 I was 5 hearing this song for first time when days are tough I listen to it during long drives up the mountain roads. I love that I got the dad I did. Still have the album on vinyl. Thanks Terry
Such a great memory. Thank you for sharing.😢
Absolute class, what a star.
How could he right like he was there unbelievable
Old is Gold 👍
Thank you !
I was at this gig and it was indeed a wonderful night. Do you happen to know the names of the people in his band?
Aretha Franklin called him a great singer ,say no more
I saw TERRY perform with my date (his ex-wife/girlfriend) last year at Pappy and Harriet’s in the California desert. One of the greatest nights I’ve had in a long time.
Terry’s Kickin ass💪💪
Amazing talent. Strangely, he doesn’t seem to have changed from the guy i chatted to regularly all those years ago at the River Club in St Ives
The extra verse at the end of the video that’s not on the original is incredible. This version is my favourite. God Bless Terry Reid
Awesome
fuckin a
Me too since my college bf in 1969 turned me onto ❤❤
Me too! My bf in 1969 at college turned me on to him. I listen to his albums still.
@@SuperMcabral yes still 🙌🏻
lol.. dude says it’s a blessing to see ya to his fans. He’s gotta know they are all thinking that exact thing about him. You’re the man Terri.. absolute genius that wouldn’t be tainted, I love that.
WHAT is that tuning. so wild of a chord progression and tuning. Straight TErry Reid. always ahead of the pack.
Check out Yelawolf's new song, Daydreams where he samples this. For the longest time I thought I was one of 10 ppl who knew about Terry Reid history. ua-cam.com/video/YQelZom_MSc/v-deo.html
GOAT
..'we won't ask you again..' Jimmy Page.
Terry is a legend. The things he COULD have done but didn't are stunning. Imagine him fronting Zeppelin in a 2 guitar attack with Jimmy.
Years ago, I posted this song to my Twitter stating that I didn't know how I missed such a great song when I was growing up in the 70's. To my surprise he replied to me thanking me for the post. What lovely gesture.
I had it happen with Peter Hook on Reddit way back. I missed an AMA. Like two days after I posted a comment.. kinda baring my soul a bit, about how JD and his bass playing were very helpful in me not losing control of things and I was able ti stay afloat. He replied about an hour later saying something like “wow, I appreciate it and am honored we could help you mate” and I about melted in my chair. I remember I saw it on a particularly rough day at work on a quick smoke break and rest of the day I was so calm.
A great singer up there with Paul Rodgers , Steve Marriott and Jess Roden as one of the best vocalists in Rock .
This is a gift for all..
Such a beautiful mess. I love it.
Rock on Terry! Way cool!!
