🔱 Caught a Massive Moray Eel | A Dangerous Spearfishing Encounter 🐟

☀️ Welcome to another spearfishing adventure! This time, my friend Simos and I visited a beautiful location well-known to most spearos in the area.
🐚 We warmed up with some shallow ambushes, taking turns diving to explore the fish activity. Simos spotted an impressive, big Triton’s trumpet, one of the Mediterranean’s largest sea snails.
🔱 Then we spotted two moray eels hiding under a single rock. I decided to dive for them and secured the larger moray eel with a headshot. It was a prized catch, later cleaned, filleted, and pan-fried!
🐟 Back at it, we didn’t encounter many fish. After several ambush attempts, the small fish seemed really calm. So, we decided to catch some tasty parrotfish to secure a nice dinner.
🌊 With the sun still shining, we cleaned our fish on the spot, joined by a hungry little crab. To our surprise, it turns out the large moray eel’s last meal was an octopus!

Thank you for your comment my friend! I know for sure that moray eels are vital for the marine ecosystem, just like groupers. Thankfully we still have plenty of them around here. I usually pass on moray eels, but I thought I’d catch one for a change since they are pretty tasty.
How exactly are you so sure we don't have many moray eels??? Have you ever been for spearfishing yourself? Every huge underwater rock has at least a big moray eel underneath it!!!
@@alexbedini731 me personally i dont see and if you research in general we have low number of moray, many lionfish are increasing therefore we need them.

Όχι δεν το έχω δοκιμάσει,αλλά το έχω δει στη έκθεση και σε videaκια και φαίνεται δύναμη,με ένα <<ταπεινό>> bluetec lycan 105 ψαρεύω,μια χαρά είναι αλλά το mrcarbon είναι αλλά φαση... Καλό καλοκαίρι με υγεία εύχομαι φιλαράκι!

Καλησπέρα φίλε! Σ’ ευχαριστώ πολύ! 😀 Συνήθως μόνος ψαρεύω στα ρηχά, όπως στο συγκεκριμένο βίντεο: από λίγα εκατοστά νερό, μέχρι τα 8-10 μέτρα. Με παρέα βουτάμε τα διπλά όταν το κομμάτι είναι βαθύ. 🌊🐟

Οχι ρε φιλε πολυ στεναχωρεθηκα για το μυλοκοπι. Δεν εχω δει ποτέ στη Χαλκιδική και ηταν και πολυ μεγάλο. Πολυ κριμα που δεν το πήρες. Το βιντεάκι παντως ηταν υπέροχο! Ολα τα πλανα και τα ψάρια σούπερ! 💪👏

Γεια σου φίλε! Εγώ ξεκίνησα με ένα 82άρι Pathos pro και έμεινα ευχαριστημένος από το όπλο. Οικονομικό, αξιόπιστο και εύκολο. Απ’ όσο ξέρω βγαίνει και σε 75άρι.

Τα πλάνα δεν είναι από τέλη Ιουνίου αλλά σουπιά δεν περίμενα ούτε εγώ να βρω, είναι η αλήθεια. 😅 Χταπόδια και λαβράκια πάντως βρίσκω όλον τον χρόνο σε συγκεκριμένα σημεία που ψαρεύω.

Καλησπέρα, Μπράβο για το βίντεο αρκετές βολές όμορφα άσπρα ψάρια ποικιλία.... Μια ερώτηση.... τι setup σε βολεύει στο όπλο? Πχ από βέργα, πάχος μήκος και από λάστιχα μάρκα συντελεστή κλπ... Έχω το ίδιο όπλο gladius σε 105
Σ ευχαριστώ Οδυσσέα! Χρησιμοποιώ βέργα 6.75mm με δυο 14αρια λάστιχα. Δεν θυμάμαι ακριβώς ποια είχα στο βίντεο. Τώρα δοκιμάζω δυο 14αρια pathos nitro.

@@SpearfishingOdyssey Γνώμη μου πάντα. Ίσως να είναι και το είδος της μουσικής που το ακούω πάντα από Ασιατικά βιντεος. Τίποτα δεν συγκρίνεται με τον φυσικό ήχο σε αυτά τα βίντεο. Να προσέχεις και καλές βολές και αναδύσεις
Προσωπικά έχω κάνει τα καλύτερα ψαρέματα σε ρηχά νερά από μερικά εκατοστά μέχρι 1.5 μέτρο!
Έχει και ρηχό ψαροντούφεκο τη χάρη του! Εμένα μου φαίνεται πιο χαλαρωτικό απ' το βαθύ, και αρκετά αποδοτικό. 🐟🐟 Καλές θάλασσες να έχουμε φίλε μου!

Dunno if its available in your town but highly suggest you to use gaff instead of speargun Im doing so couple of decades with a ease you can catch any even very big octopuses

Use 14,5 small ıd bands and 120cm 7.25 shaft and finally keep sharp your shaft so this setup work for every size of fish.Last video make me sad :(
