The Fx6 has been overpriced in my opinion since it’s inception. No IBIS or Raw capability but I have to pay 5k for it? Inexcusable

This is my video search parameter: DJI, Avata 2, First Manual Flight, Fly manual, Learn to fly manual, and similar terms. That transition is the difference between crawling and walk/jog/running. I have NO IDEA what that admittedly major step will entail, but I complicate it further with an aversion to the simulator. I understand the immense value of gaining muscle memory, eye/hand coordination, learning to react to specific physics affecting the aircraft, and REPETITION. I just don't particularly like simulators. At all. The more exposure to them, the stronger my aversion. Good manual flight skills ARE MY GOAL. EVERYTHING else is in support of that goal. I got a 3 battery Avata 2 Fly More Combo AND a DJI FPV Controller 3 up front. Having exactly ZERO% FPV skills & experience, the Controller 3 will be living in it's little box for a while, weeks certainly, possibly months (probably somewhere in between) Now I start. Put time in, every day, Develop GOOD skills, squash bad ones. Been flying camera drones a while, 5,870 hours, and all of that helps me not a whit, I expect. Doing everything in the real world vs. simulator probably means a lot of care refresh shipments, since I can't afford a stack of functional aircraft to keep me flying. If anyone has practical advice, I humbly thank you in advance.

I’ve been flying it for 1 month. Good- Just turn on and fly. Gets the job done. Very nice video footage. Decent range. Fun to fly. VERYY durable. Mine even crack and dented badly, still flys like a falcon. Very good security features. Return to home is amazing. The Pause button helped me learn flying better. Decent 7-10 minutes airtime with a single battery. Bad- Penetration is weak. Does poorly behind trees and buildings.Aircraft is very light thus does vibrate in windy situations. Conclusion: A must buy for beginners. A must have for influencers for its quick setup and go advantage.

I got mine for 900 dollars. Yes it was absolutely worth it.

One year back I spent my money on a beginner 5inch analogue quad instead of avata 1, just after a month i lost connection and ended on a river. I sold the Transmitter and goggles; saving money for Avata 2 😂

Hi! I recently switched to the Sony Fx6 on July 2024 and it is still and amazing camera for what it offers. Found an offer on the 3600€ range which is an absolute banger, and I´ve just rented it for a full length documentary feature, so I can say the camera is a awesome investment if you find the right jobs, and know the right people.

Hello there, I’ve just bought one of those with the motion controller and when I press the mode switch button it does not go to sports mode. i am sure I turned off the beginners mode I double triple checked. Is there something else to unlock or does my motion controller have defect? Before someone comes to tell, I know you need to press once to switch to sports and press and hold to rth. Whatever I do with that button just doesn’t happen, the button doesn’t even beep like the other buttons

quick side note, if you pay for the single batt version and add on everything that comes with the fly more combo including the fpv controller its actually cheaper then buying the fly more combo.

I love the Avata 2! So, much better than the Avata OG hands down.

I got one about 4 months ago, started flying in my garage because of unfamiliarity of the motion controller. Finally went out in the field and love it. If cheap is all you can afford, stay inside and fly the <$99 models! It’s opened up so many opportunities for me since I got used to flying it! The noise over the other mini drones is the only issue, since ya can’t be very quiet about it. Good post. Thanks for what you do!🇺🇸

It still tumbles if you yaw snap at high speeds in manual, but its not as bad as the avata 1.

The avata 2 is a great drone but. Its fragile. Not user repairable at all. The biggest issue ive seen in groups im in is the prop guards breaking on impacts that aren't that bad. And obviously, you can't just replace the prop guards like you can with the avata 1.

If you are shooting video at like 12fps or whatever this is, just buy an analog fpv drone lol

Been loving my mini 2 for many years now, really considering this one now. Only fpv i have flown so far is friends dji fpv. Big investment, i agree.

I own it and have mixed feelings about it. The size and what is does in that context is good. Coating on the lens sucks, makes bright areas look washed out. Gimbal is shaky. Joystick is binary, no easing in and out. ND filters don’t fit in closed mode, sucks. The lens easily comes out of protection mode when turned off. Focus breathing on a video oriented cam is unforgivable. It needs physical iso controls. Screen sucks. Should be a tele lens options as well. 50mm or 85mm equivalent.
