I'm clean and sober 6 months now and after 20+ years I'm done with weed. Weed is far less beneficial than it's made out to be. And after years of using and abusing, your mental health becomes much worse off.

I really appreciated this talk on cross addiction. I'm definitely a marijuana addict. There are no "in person" MA meetings here in Tulsa, so I threw myself into AA. I often have little control over how much alcohol I take in when I start drinking. That is how I qualified myself. But, needed live meetings with real people to break this matijuana thing. I'm a year and 3 months sober and I'm at the 10th step with my AA sponsor. I'm much better mentally than I was when came into AA. But, I have way more behaviors that match the stories in MA than AA. I've met a few others in AA like myself. That helps. But, MA is really where I fit best. Thank you for this podcast.

I’m just some random person on the Internet surfing videos..came across this one and tuned in. WOW what a great story teller this lady is! I listened to the entire video. ( audio) I am not hooked on pot , or alcohol or anything but found this immensely engaging and thought of a family member who may benefit highly from her story. Thank you! You just never know who’s out there listening!
