Hi there. Thanks for posting this. I was wondering if you held a copy of the full version?
I have never in my life seen such ferocity as I did when I saw that fire at Valley Parade it was the speed of it that still shocks me At 15.43 you could see Police ushering people out of the stand and onto the pitch the game was still at that point going on too it was stopped at 15.44 exactly and less than a minute later after a small lick of flames the whole stand was engulfed. You just can’t take it in how quickly that fire took to destroy that stand and kill 56 people it was horrific then it is now and it always will be 😢😢😢😢
I remember when Daniel died, very sad 😔
Bless him. Utterly incomprehensible to lose his son at just 15. RIP Daniel
Fuck him. Dirty player. Now he wants us to care. But when he assaulted other players, injured them for life and ended their careers he didn't give a shit.
The fact he had a decent football career is astonishing considering Revie was all set to let him leave after serving his apprenticeship. Terry even saw the letter on Revie's desk. Ironically, Revie wanted to keep on another aprentice, but this boy was one of twins and revie didn't want to keep the other twin. The boy's mother said Revie had to sign them both or not at all - and nobody was going to tell Revie who to sign. Both twins were let go and Yorath Signed instead. I wonder what the domestic situation was in the twins' household after that. "I could have been playing with Bremner, Giles, and Clarke if it hadn't been for you!" Always annoyed me that the Gelderd End made Yorath a boo boy - he deserved better.
I can remember when his son passed. Truly tragic and I can feel this man's untold pain . All I can say is have faith as one day you will be reunited again.
Let's all remember those 56. Love to Bradford, nearly 36 years on. Visit the memorial in citypark.
As a Swede I always hated him for the execution of Andersson in the European cup final of 75. I do feel very sorry for him and his family for the tragic loss of his son.
Rip to the 56 all ways remember
Anybody notice Phil Lynott, slightly obscured, standing behind Lemmy ?
I always felt Terry was underestimated by the Leeds fans back in the day . Mind you , the whole team were . Years later the same fans look back with nostalgia .He scored one of the best goals I ever saw at Elland Road and hardly got a cheer .Graham Souness held him in respect as a real hard man and top geezer ..nuff said .Best wishes Terry .
I liked Terry Yorath's slap-mullet from back in the day. The slullet is an outstanding hair-do.
Rolf Harris and DLT I bet The Nolan Sisters kept their dressing room door locked that day!
DLT was cleared.
@@jaredjackson8526 No he was convicted of indecent assault in 1995
Just a nightmare! Have never forgotten it, all those poor fans, went to support their team and never came home again 😓
respect to unheard voice project finally helped recognise the work of locals during the fire
Used to love Jim Diamond. What a great voice!
how about a motörhesd version ? the lyrics are good :)
Lemmy at 2:20
Who's beside Lemmy in the sunnies ????
I was looking for that, thanks!
yep! saw lemmy there :)
He should be knighted after what he's been through. JFT96 YNWA. Classy man......Classy club aswell, Bradford City, god bless the 56...
What a very sad day. It will live with me forever i can still remember every second as if it was yesterday my thoughts go out to all god bless
You have to admire the design for disaster. Dry wooden stands, no sprinklers, no fire extinguishers, paper stacked beneath, unmanned exits locked shut. You could hardly make a better design to kill people. The glow from the fire was so hot you couldn't stand close to it without catching on fire. If the gates were stronger and the fences keeping people off the field were much stronger, thousands would have been burned alive. Safety last! Could anything possibly matter less than professional sports? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradford_City_stadium_fire
it was basically a large chicken coup! with no exits too
DLT and Rolf Harris. Oh dear. But Lemmy from Motörhead ! Class !
+silverbantam DLT, like Paul Gambaccini hasn't been found guilty on any of the allegations. Rolf Harris is in prison, just like Stuart Hall.
What a tragedy! I remember seeing the "News break" which was the UK version of breaking news back in the 80s about this. Had come in around 4 oclock to see the half time scores and could not believe my eyes when I saw his. Many hero police officers and members of the public that day! I'll never forget seeing that poor man on fire...
It Simply Defines: HORRIFIC
Life is loss -- it's true for everyone -- but I feel great sympathy for Yorath here, even, no, *especially* when he admits his reaction to grief made it worse for the people around him.
Nearly 30 years (and, sadly, many stadium disasters) later, and this one still haunts. I hope we learn from each such disaster and make the corrections necessary to prevent anything like it in the future. Peace to the victims and their loved ones.
This is forgotten due to liverpool fans.
This is really awful :/ The police did really well though in getting the fans out so quickly. Where were the people who died? I've never been a football fan so don't really know how stadiums work.
how is come the fire in this footbal stadion what a hell what a fire it,s so shokking how many peoples kil in the fire?
I'm a liverpool fan but I respect the 56 that died in this and the other Bradford fans
why were those working class youths celebrating the loss of life? Very confusing
Don't think they really knew how serious it was at the time. It is a little weird as the stadium was burning, I mean I wouldn't want a team I support have no home to play at after the fire. But closest thing I could think of to this situation is, well when I was a kid, a section of my school caught fire, and us students were all celebrating because we got to go home early. No one was injured, but we started cheering the first site of fire to the school, at that moment we didn't really know for sure that no one was hurt, and we could of ended up feeling really stupid had someone got injured from it, but as a kid all we thought at first was "YEAH SCHOOLS OUT". We were kids.
amazing how quickly fire spreads, and how intense the heat is from far away. RIP to all the victims.
what caused the fire ?
A dropped cigarette on to accumulated trash under the stands.
i love england, i lived there for a while but those assholes celebrating and cheering, smiling, that is the biggest shame of all. british football fans are a threat to society no doubt when you see that
Phil Maison This happened 29 years (an entire generation) ago so don't make such stupid uninformed generalisations, OK?
i've seen supporters celebrating in front of the camera while the fire is destroying the building; they re cheering, how can they? it's a massive fire, people could be in danger and they cheer; congratulations to the braindead football fans on that day!! useless assholes
Phil Maison Well big fires are fun to watch and the people dancing and cheering on the pitch were either immature and/or drunk.
This is used in Fire Safety training, to demonstrate how rapidly fire and smoke spreads. The fans on the left watch, not initially realising how much they were in danger themselves. It was used in my training, anyway, and it's impossible to forget. I hope that using it in this way helps to save many lives in future. RIP 56. x
R.I.P
How dare they chant and cheer as the stadium burns and 56 people die
pensate solamente se succedesse qui in Italia, dove a dividere gli spalti dal campo ci sono fossati e recinzioni alte 4 metri.......
Imagine if this happened at hillsborough when they were still caged in? it would have been hideous
ron burgundy- this escalated quickly
What took the fire engines so long to get there ? traffic clogged roads ??
I think it's shocking and disgusting how people can run round the pitch singing like they do when their team gets promoted when people are burning to death, looked like nobody gave a shit about anyone
A tragedy. Yet, idiots chanted and cheered. A terrible and sad day for English football.
Very sad
I saw an American programme that said that football hooligans set light to the stand, which was false. Were the American production company sued for libel?
It spread so quickly.
God rest their souls
