Backyard on a Budget | Entire Backyard Makeover | DIY vs. HIRING a Contractor
Our backyard was in need of a makeover but we didnt want to break the bank. Hiring a contractor is worth it as they are skilled, have the expertise, and do great work. If you dont have the time yourself or dont even have the knowledge, doing it yourself may not go to plan and a contractor is definitely the way to go.
We decided to take on the challenge ourselves and documented the process. Additionally, we only had a certain budget that we didnt want to surpass.

Переглядів 2,6 тис.11 місяців тому
Over this past summer, we decided to give our backyard a makeover as its current state was unpleasant and underutilized. We took this project on ourselves as a "DIY" and are quite happy with how everything turned out. Enjoy 5 days worth of work in a short 16-minute video and stick around for the final before and after shots, it's more than worth it. #backyard #transformation #diy

My simple and budget friendly desk makeover 2024
Your before is my future
Finally , a setup that i can afford.
That came out to be nice !!
I appreciate that! I'm no woodworker but I'm happy with the "rustic" result😅
Should have bought a used Herman Miller chair.
Definitely thought about it but couldn't find anything in budget!
thumbs up for "winging it"...that is my go mode
We''ll figure it out along the way!😅
Very cool. We’re going to build the same one in our nook this weekend. Did you screw into the flooring at all?
Best of luck! I did not put a single screw/nail/or glue into the floor. I made sure i screwed into studs that were in the wall when attaching the supports against the wall. This makes it very rigid and sturdy and is a very important step in my opinion. As you progress, you can screw it to the floor if you feel it needs it after giving the frame a small nudge but again, I dont feel it will be necessary. Hope that helps!
It´s beautiful, I love it
I beg, nick design, if your reading this, read it till the end, you wont regret it. with that monitor, your capable of a high refresh rate. it makes everything faster and kind of 90% of the price you spent on the monitor, the refresh rate. turn on your pc, locate your desktop (home screen with nothing open) right click and click display, in the settings go advanced display > refresh rate and set it to max, if you already know this or have don't it already, I couldn't resist. hope it helped
Budget left the chat
How stable is the desk frame?
Very! No complaints
Not sure If I would call a $600 desk budget, but at least it looks nice and will last a long while. I would have probably not gotten the sit/stand frame and gotten a better monitor, but that is just me and I hate standing at my desk
Yes no nails in the toes…😂
Less is more, nice
How thick was the mdf board?
I believe half an inch thick. 3/4" works too, I wouldn't go less than half an inch.
What about the board you used for the seat?
@@brycehanley7695 The seat was an inch thick and was melamine but mdf works too. I wouldn't go less than an inch in my opinion
What width did you make the standing desk frame (it appears to be adjustable but I didn't hear you mention it in the video)? I'm considering whether I could make it work without cutting the desk top and if so how wide to make the standing desk frame.
what kind of plants are that and do you need to water them?
They are fake Ikea and Walmart plants😭 One day I'll get real plants haha
@@nickdesgn thxx i was thinking of buying fake plants too but im not sure if i should water them
@@rvke3763 yeah do not water fake plants if that was your question:)
@@nickdesgn yeah i figured that they will grow too much if you water them
how much did all sum up to as a price?
get a pc
Supert ! Hva b🎉uker du i front?
Кайф!
Looks great. I just can't get my head around the idea of only 1 monitor. I currently have 3 with 1 being portrait as a dev and I still sometimes wouldn't mind a fourth. 2 would be the absolute minimum, even as a casual user
Desk: Local Carpenter shop. For chair I would go offline and pick out one probably around 100~150 bucks. And I'm good to go 😌
great
doesnt seem very budget friendly, just get a used ikea desk that looks good for 30-40 bucks and a monitor arm bro
Great inspiration for beginners like me to build a bench
Just be careful with the Karlby top, it can damage really easily. As I found out during a PC build. Silly mistake, side panel slipped out of my fingers and the corner made a nice clean L shaped dent. Luckily it lives underneath a mouse pad.
Nice clean setup mate 👌💯 good to see that you haven't loaded it with lots of distracting RGB lights 😅. What's the name of the keyboard you're using, I saw it at the end of this video. Thanks
What is the color that U've used on the walls? Great setup and video btw!
охуенно
I keep seeing people on UA-cam with desks under the window. The scenery, trees, and rain are so nice, but it's too bright. Also, a clear window gives you an outside-in feel and more space.
What paper tissues are for? :D
Nice, Great Work
Nice, Great Work
what the tissue box doing over there.. just curious.
Whats the table size ? Can someone tell me
74 inches
27 inch monitor will be great
Budget friendly lmao
what was the frame size of your posters in the video?
24"x36" 👍
There is nothing budget friendly about that desk at all.
yeah, how "budget friendly" this tutorial is.
It looks great. Thank you for the step by step!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it🙌🏽
Nice video with lots of usable tips! Love the final result.
Thank you!🙏
how's the chair? i always have a problem buying these types of ergonomic chairs because most of them are fake. that's why i end up disconnecting my laptop from my monitor
its better than my last one so i can't complain. All in all, ive enjoyed it. However, if I could, I rather get a Herman Miller if i could afford it. All depends on budget and the value you want from it. Hope that helps!
@@nickdesgn true yes. Thank you 🙏
Great looking desk, but no drawers? No thanks...
I liked the old
Bro lives in a different timeline or something 💀
HOW IS THIS BUDGET? if you go and spend over 2000$
Nice and clean!
Wow the background music is soo pleasing ,can anybody point it out!!
Plz tell me room size
