It's not rare. There's one in literally every game that gets started and it's easy to get. Other than bragging rights there's nothing super fancy or special about it. All the other swords you get from Ashlands are better anyway. Click bait short not worth your time.

The cave with Redo is like one of the first locations I found I’m using it to breed Askvin

4:12 they do work like (2-star) wolves, a 2-star asksvin jumped me near dawn. By the time I had it trapped in a hastily dug pit, it was day and it was too busy trying to run away and despawn to eat. After waiting until next night all was fine though, it ate a fiddlehead and taming could start.

Solid video, though i don't bother with breeding pens in the meadows, they proliferate on their own eating boars and deers as long as you get it started right.

It took 3 ships and as many corpses to establish a foothold in the Ashlands. I didn't get materials from there for the first couple weeks as I had to grind out materials for more gear after the first two failed attempts. The sheer numbers of mobs was unbelievable.

First time out with it I was so excited I used it then charged in...and got flattened by my troll-meteor. It took me almost a week to get all the way back to where I died but it was funny.

You can forgo the battering ram by digging under the tower. I dig starting up against the door to as low as the game will let me, this is where the foundation ends and there's a small gap between the ground and the wall. Then walk forward so that I'm clipping inside the foundation wall (so the pickaxe can hit the earth and not the unbreakable wall) and mine forward once or twice to open up a big hole in the floor of the tower that I can jump up. Fast, easy, and I don't have to lug battering ram materials around/through portals! This works as of the Bog Witch update.

I realized that the reason some areas have a higher mob spawn rate is actually due to torment monuments being hidden inside natural rock.
