Tell me how you found this practice? What was your experience? I will be making more videos on dropping anchor and other Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) so let me know if you have any requests 🙂Simone
Can you remove the ad in the middle? It completely defeats the purpose. Ad in the beginning and the end would be better
@@bunny-nn1oo that is annoying. Unfortunately I don’t have a choice where ads are placed at the moment but will move them as my channel grows. 👍🏼
I am in the middle of an OCD obsession right now and this video helped calm me. Thank you!! I will be using this in the future
Thank you for the feedback Charlotte, I’m so pleased it helped. ☺️ Dropping anchor is a great tool. Best wishes 😊
thankyou for this, i’ll come back to watch this video a couple more times because it really calmed my thoughts and feelings!!
@@katesophie7015 I’m so pleased to hear it helped. Thanks for sharing your feedback 🙏🏻
Any reasons why don't we anchor straight to the up and down of our belly but instead we ask ourselves what is my thoughts ? What is my feeling on my body ? What emotions ? Thank you 😊
Fantastic question! Noticing thoughts and feelings is a key part of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other mindfulness based practices. If you go straight to the focusing on the breath it can be a distraction technique from uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. Bringing awareness to thoughts and feelings without judgement can increase our self-awareness of patterns/triggers and reduce our emotional reactivity by mindfully observing without reacting. Practising regularly can lessen the hold some thoughts and feelings can have over us so we can focus on what is most important. There is a video on Dropping Anchor (another ACT technique) you might also like 🙂 ua-cam.com/video/XpPDP_f-TS8/v-deo.html
This was very helpful thank you Simone I have been plagued by repetitive thoughts of my assignment all week and my room feels brighter now than it has all day working.
I’m so happy to hear Callum. Those repetitive thoughts can really take hold sometime. I love dropping anchor because you can always come back to it anytime, anywhere. Best wishes with your assignment.
